"Stories are meant to teach lessons, not tell tales"
Deceit the Panther

Deceit the Panther (偽り・ザ・豹 Itsuwari za Hyo), otherwise referred to as "Dee", is a female anthropomorphic black panther fan character, created and owned by Brianna Nevaeh Gonzales, AKA ArtistiaCons. She has been often known to be featured in ArtistiaCons' AU Z3R0, however has gone to show in other AUs as well. Deceit was originally made as a one-off character and adopt in late 2021 before ArtistiaCons decided to keep her.

Personality[]

Deceit was always seen as mysterious for her nature, though her intentions aren't wrong. She always has been a neutral party who seems to never have a side, but seems to be vague how she feels about all and any sides as well. It only adds further to her mysterious nature.

Many can't quite identify her personality as she refuses to show herself on a personal level. Therefore, she doesn't show much emotion other than if she can't help it if it's a strong emotion. Examples of these would be her giving a small smile or a smug grin every now and then.

But in various cases or reasons, other than a stone cold face, her posture can and will change depending on situations. Consider yourself lucky if you're on her side, for she can have a bad temper when someone takes a jab at something personal of hers (not about her, or rather something precious to her).

Dee, behind the scenes, honestly wants to do the best thing for herself and just get by in life, but it's always been considerably hard in her eyes. This is which is why she prefers to be isolated instead of risking to show any signs of needing help...

In simpler words, Dee is very distant, observant, and wise in a sense, but longs to have the physical affection she craved since a child.

Childhood[]

Dee grew up somewhat healthy with her mother, father, and twin brother. She was age five at this time. During her childhood, her family was a blessed one with the right mind and soul, with unfortunate financial issues. Honestly, if it weren't for them, she probably wouldn't have the best mentality she does now. Because of the financial problems, her father—who was the main source of income from the home—had to forfeit the home since he couldn't make ends meet.

Not only did this event happen, but the government of P.A.T.R.O.L. accused them for false law-breaking (in which they were innocent). Therefore, her father and mother couldn't afford the risk of taking care of their children.

Not long after, they planned an escape route and already had plans which child will go to who. They put it into action after preparations. As both her mother and father split almost immediately with the children, the government of P.A.T.R.O.L. were heading their way to the home. After no responses from the parents for months, that is when they decided to do it when they knew they were home. How wrong they would be when they were rehoming their children to safety.

Both Mrs. and Mr. Rain got their children to their rightful new guardians, Dee's twin brother with their distant aunt and Dee with a family friend.

When the parents returned home to see that government officials were at their door, they couldn't refuse. Once they explained they were out, they found them suspicious and did a false arrest on both parents. With having no power to defend themselves, they gave in and allowed the officers take them (in spite).

This is where Dee wouldn't ever see her twin brother or her parents ever again...

Teenage Years[]

Nothing much of any importance did not happen throughout her teenage years, as it was pretty average and normal for any girl like her would go through.

By the time Dee came of age to no longer be under the home of her caretaker (who was a demon named Vagra), she moved out. Before she completely did, she gave her words and how she felt about Vagra being her mother her entire life, and Vagra told her of her past since she was of age now. Afterwards, the two had a bit of silence and hugged. "Just remember, I'm here if you need me, Dee-Dee...I know it's been tough but don't forget that it was my job to protect you, even if you are out of reach". She and Vagra left on good terms and said their goodbyes to each other.

Dee, now a young adult, had dreams and ambitions she wanted to reach. Now that she was alone and had the capabilities to continue her life on her own, she decided to try out her career in hoverboard racing. She was fairly smart for a girl her age, despite the events that occurred in her life, and decided to put those lessons to use...she decided to pursue in hoverboard making as well.

Throughout her education, she learned much in all kinds of fields, but primarily mechanics and technology. After she graduated, she instantly began to pursue her dream...

Adulthood[]

Her beginning adult years were quite expected: a rough start.

She worked her way into getting a job or two in repairing hoverboard gear, although she longed to rather be the person turning in their board after returning from a race. It seemed like a feverdream.

Until one day that is.

Someone by the name of Johnathan Whacker met with her during a shift to offer her an opportunity to chase her dreams. Astonished, she took the offer. Unfortunately, she has yet to see what was coming for her. And unfortunately, Dr. Whacker would have to turn against her in the end...

Why her?

Deceit got to participate in the races, although under one condition. The board council of Ezra City would inform her in order for her to freely race, she would have to attest to their plans. She felt it was a bit sketchy, but accepted either way.

In turn, it happened that they would be experimenting on her.

When she realized what they had meant by an opportunity, it was already too late as she had been detained. She tried to break free, but they had chained her. They misjudged her strength for being much stronger than they thought. It was when they realized she was perfect. She was the perfect subject.

They had given her a dose to make her fall asleep, and that is when they started experimenting. These people wanted to make biogenetic super Mobians to use as forces for their armies. However, with great cost of it, the tables have turned and she managed to escape a year's worth of experiments. She never wanted to see that place again.

With escaping, she now has a wanted poster for her, in fear their secret would get out that she had invincible power locked away (which she will learn to use later on). Now she is always on the run and away from government officials, too scared to face them on her own.

And luckily for her, there is an organization out there willing to help her cause with morals...

Relationships[]

Gizmo the Red Panda[]

Deceit is one of Gizmo's childhood friends. Before she moved away from their childhood neighborhood, they were really close. She considers him a very close friend and never lost contact with him since. But when she heard he was now a cyborg, it baffled her. It did not change her view of him however. She did want to contact him once again and was baffled by his new appearance, but he was still the same as she recalled. She liked this new version of him a lot, with him being more community-helping and drives to aid Dee when she needs it.

Phase the Jackal[]

TBD.

Charge the Dolphin[]

Friend: TBD.

Astral the Hedgehog[]

Astral is a newer additional to her friend grouping, other words just a friend for now. She is really heart-warming so Dee can't deny her caring nature, especially being touch-starved from some form of love. In a way, Astral is her Mom 2.0! Plus, she really knows how to fashion with her excellent outfit combos, Dee would know because she's responsible for her riding suit!

Vagra "Scarlet" Flame[]

Vagra has been her caretaker since she was a mere little girl. Honestly, while she wouldn't be necessarily called the best guardian, she does know what's best for her. She's gives off the "tough mother" energy. Honestly, Deceit didn't mind it, she did raise her and keep her safe until she went to live on her own to flee once again from P.A.T.R.O.L.

Dr. Johnathan Whacker[]

Enemy: TBD.

Zone the Hedgehog[]

Cousin: TBD.

Eirian the Cat[]

TBD.

Trivia[]

Design and Character Creation[]

  • Deceit is an extension to ArtistiaCons' secondary persona, Deceit Rain.
    • Her hair and color palette is inspired off of Artistia and myself!
    • Her blues and reds are merely inspired colors by the game Beat Saber.
    • Her overall color palette is meant to give you "Tron" or cyberpunk/futuristic vibes.
    • Her species is actually one of my favorite cat breeds: the black panther.
    • She was meant to look futuristic, so if you find her look too modern or "into the future", then that means I accomplished the goal of making her look like she came from the future lol.

General Trivia[]

  • Shipped with Eirian (belongs to UnicornCola), Gizmo (belongs to me)
  • Dee's name is from my alternative username; DeceitfulRain. She's the very embodiment of that alternate persona.
  • I have a headcanon that she and Silver met at least once and became time-traveling buddies.
  • Speaking of time travelling, Dee has the ability to go back in time and repeat an event if a mistake was made (gained throughout her story). Her powers have a cooldown though, as the dark cyber magic inteferes with her mental health sometimes. She has to wait after a while to be able to do anything else, as it can damage and hurt her if she uses it carelessly.
  • Following the point above, part of her story plays so much like The Matrix, a false reality. That would explain why her "magic" is cyber-based. In a way, she's a player inside a game simulation she's been input into for the majority of her REAL life that's she's forgotten who she is.
