Emerald Trophy3 Voted Best Quote for Spring 2014!

"The mind is such a beautiful vessel, but what lies inside is so horrendous. Is there no mind with contents as beautiful as the container?"

-Dawn the Ocelot

Appearance[]

Dawn is a black ocelot with long maroon hair, with a glowing streak the color of the sunrise hanging off near her right eye. Her muzzle and is an unusual grey. Her eyes are a brighter shade of brown, almost resembling rust.

To hide the glowing streak, she wears a navy blue hoodie with the hood always over her head. She wears underneath it a maroon T-shirt that matches her hair, and blue jeans. Her shoes are thin, generic black and white sneakers with white laces.

Personality[]

She is, by no means, an outgoing individual. She is both shy yet confident, knowing what everyone around her is thinking. She has a grim outlook on life due to the thoughts she has seen and heard. Despite this, she feels that there is a person out there whose mind untouched by evil. She knows this person to be close, and this is her reason to continue with her trivial life.

History[]

Dawn doesn't remember her younger years, but at the age of two, she was found by a panther known as Dusk. After seeing her glowing streak that contrasted with his darker one, he started calling her Dawn. They traveled together all around Möbius, looking for answers about Dawn's origins and their unique glowing streaks. During their journeys, Dawn's ability to read minds began to show. This power was also used by Dusk, who taught her how to control them. She got to the point where she can join minds with another being, bringing a manisfesation of her and her target to "the land of thoughts", which Dawn describes as a white nothingness. Dusk then taught her more fatal mind I controlling abilities. She gained the power to not just read minds, but control them by making physical contact with the target's cranial region. This power involved into the bending and eventual breaking of the mind.

When she and her brother were walking in a city at night, they were ambushed by thieves. Dusk took control of the situation. He had claws to slit their throats, but never did. He instead grabbed the thieves by their heads and destroyed their minds, putting them in a comatose state for an eternity. Dusk looked in horror upon the shells once called living beings. She touched one of their heads and repaired his mind. Dusk saw this and crushed the repaired thief's skull. Dawn was later chastised for aiding a killer.

Their travels brought them to Saari, where they made their homes in one of the better mobian apartments, with some persuasion, of course. She still lives their, happy her brother is no longer wanting to move, but she is curious as to why Dusk has taken a liking to Jericho City...

Powers[]

  • Mind control
    • Can read minds
    • Can bend the will of others
    • Can repair damaged or destroyed minds
    • Can join minds with another through physical contact. This can be used for private conversations with another individual

Special Abilities[]

  • Cat eyes (can see in total darkness)
  • Cat claws (can shred through flesh and some weaker materials, although she rarely uses them)
  • Cat agility (super speed up to 35 km/h and able to jump 10 meters in the air)

Skills[]

Despite her abundance in free time, she has learned no useful skills with the exception of learning how to live off of nature if the need arises.

Weaknesses[]

It has been observed that prolonged use of her powers causes her nose to bleed, and healing minds, the most taxing of her powers, causes her to sweat blood. This suggests internal damage that has so far been temporary.

Trivia[]

  • She is the polar opposite of her brother, as she represents a sunrise in contrast to Dusk representing a sunset. She even has the glowing strand of hair on the right, or east, side of her head.
  • She is mute, and communicates primarily through a telepathy of sorts. When she wants to talk to someone, she speaks through their mind and lip syncs what she says. She has mastered this little trick to the point it is near indistinguishable.
