Dark Angelo (ダークアンジェロ Dākuanjero), also referred to as Dark Super Angelo (ダークスーパーアンジェロ Dākusūpāanjero), is a transformation that appears in Angelo the Hedgehog. It was a super transformation-like state for Angelo, achieved by a multitude of darkened Chaos Emeralds and Super Emeralds and the hedgehog's intense anger.
Appearance[]
Dark Angelo seemed to have two forms. During his transformation, his fur turned a deep navy blue, his quills were upturned, he has peach "skin", and his body emitted a dark purple aura. In the powered-up version of the transformation, however, he looked similar to Super Angelo. He still retained the dark purple aura around him, but his eyes still had no pupils or irises, his mouth disappeared, his fur was black and his skin was a dark gray color. The Spine was similar to Hyper Angelo.
For attire, Angelo's sneakers and gloves were unaffected in this state.
Personality[]
Dark Angelo seemed to relish the prospect of murdering the two prototype Black Arms, as shown by his demonic grin and mad cackle. In this form, Angelo's rage was out of control and he had even gained the intention to kill, and making Angelo going insane by thinking of his past when he gets killed and bullied by several people. However, he could still control his actions to an extent, as this form was rooted in the darker aspects of Sonic's natural instincts, including the desire to live, trample and impose over opposition, and on a metaphysical level, the natural occurrence and manifestation of loss, decline, destruction and death.
Powers and abilities[]
As Dark Angelo, Angelo demonstrated light-speed movements, fast enough to tear through a robot multiple times within a second simply by dashing through it, while not even being visible. Dark Angelo was also capable of high-speed flight, and possessed amazing physical strength, enough to make dents in metal, cave in a robot's face with one punch, and tear a robot vertically in half with one swift strike. Angelo will lose mana if he goes onto normal, however, when the emeralds are darkened, the Super Gauge will turn plain black for the game.

- When Dark Angelo shows his face for the first time, the Devil May Cry 3 theme for Vergil plays shortly before the transformation takes off into battle.
- The music that plays in the Japanese version, on the other hand, is Battle theme of Vergil's from DMC3.
- Despite only appearing in one episode, Dark Sonic is one of the most powerful characters in the series, being enhanced by Darkened Powers and stronger than Dark Sonic.
- This transformation is also used for the Fake Chaos Emeralds and Fake Super Emeralds.
