Ji-hun Song (ソン・ジフン Son Jihun?) is the primary antagonist of Cybermania. Best known by his alias Conficker (コンフィッカー Konfikkā?), can remotely manipulate electronics, but here's the mysterious catch: he has no cybernetics. Believing Diamor has the answers for this, he works for them as an agent in Special Squad 7, whilst looking for a way to save his own life.
Conficker originally appeared in the 2018 Cybermania one-off, Annyeong, and has since underwent numerous redesigns as the visual novel developed.

Cosmic Ray[]
The Diamor XPR 1.0 (abbrevation for Experimental Particle Rifle 1.0) "Cosmic Ray" is a weapon that doubles as a blunt weapon and a long-ranged rifle, using experimental reverse-engineered alien technology. In melee configuration, the trigger is folded, allowing the rifle to be held in the style of a one-handed club. In ranged configuration, the rifle fires supercharged particles close to the speed of light. It takes several seconds to fire a single focused shot, causing devastating damage to anything in its way. However, the rifle must cool down which takes a few minutes to do so; otherwise firing again too soon could destroy the weapon. The resulting recoil blows Conficker back several meters and can even hurt Conficker himself if not careful. Rumor has it, it costs 4 million rings to fire the weapon once.
Abilities[]
Technopathy: Conficker can communicate with technology directly, including controlling them with his very mind.
Recall: Conficker can copy the cybernetic abilities of a target after grabbing them, allowing him to use those abilities for himself. He is unable to hack while recalling another person's abilities.
Trivia[]
- Conficker's real name, Ji-hun Song, sounds similar to Gi-hun Seong, the main character of Squid Game. Ji-hun's name was established in 2019, 2 years before Squid Game's first season. While both characters share similar traits, their names were coincidental.
- The color of his hair and fur is a nod to a graphical error commonly found in video games, when a texture in use is missing.
