Sonic the Hedgehog

Even over ten long years after the final defeat of his arch-nemesis, Dr. Eggman, as well as the fall of the Eggman Empire as a whole, Sonic has not slowed down in his never-ending quest to deliver his own justice and uphold the freedom he values in the slightest. Now, with the imminent threat of Burst on the horizon, the Blue Blur springs into action once more!

True to his nature and abilities, Sonic is probably the most mobile character in the roster, sporting incredible movement speed and plenty of options - both on the ground and in the air. In addition, Sonic sports a rather respectable amount of damage output in his attacks, but has one of the lowest defense values in exchange. This means that Sonic must strike a balance between rushing in with an onslaught of strikes and using his mobility in wearing down his opponent to survive his many of his battles. His Style Action, Cobalt Chaser, has him performing a high-speed Homing Attack, closing the distance between him and his opponent in a near-instant.

Shadow the Hedgehog

In the years after Dr. Eggman’s final defeat, Shadow has risen the ranks of GUN’s Armed Forces Department and become a figure to be respected as much as he is to be feared. As the looming threat of Burst's trail of destruction is made apparent, Shadow - accompanied by Whirlwind and Kris - heads off to apprehend the escaped test subject and find out more about the true agenda of the Genesis Corporation.

In terms of skill set, Shadow is well-rounded and can adapt to most situations rather quickly. Meanwhile, like his blue-furred counterpart, Shadow sports incredible movement options and can easily outrun most opponents with ease with his natural speed. To match with his general simplicity in playstyle, Shadow sports an equally-simple Style Action, Chaos Slash, that is basically a flashy attack using Chaos Energy.

Miles "Tails" Prower

A young mechanical and technological genius, Tails has come a long way from his days as simply Sonic’s sidekick and best friend. In the years following the fall of the Eggman Empire, Tails has founded his own company - ProwerTech Enterprises - and is on the road to revolutionizing the world of technology. After having paid attention to the activities of the Genesis Corporation for some time, Tails arms himself for another fight upon word regarding an escaped test subject named "Burst" reaching him.

Like his fleet-footed partner, Tails is a rapid sprinter in terms of movement. However, unlike Sonic’s preference close-ranged combat, Tails relies on tricky setups and perfect placement of traps to handle the competition - though he can defend himself from up close. However, he is not particularly tough and must control the match in his favor if he is to take down his opponents. His Style Action, Force Drive, is an important tool in maximizing his control over the battlefield.

Knuckles the Echidna

After the Eggman Empire’s downfall, no one had heard from Knuckles, who had since returned to his duties as the Master Emerald’s guardian, for the longest time. However, with a new threat on the loose, the Red Devil of Angel Island - whose penchant for smashing his foes has not dulled in the slightest - is spurred into action for the first time in several years.

Knuckles is a grappler with the movement capabilities of a rushdown character. That alone makes him a fearsome opponent in the battlefield when up close, but he sports a natural lack of any ranged attacks, meaning that he may have trouble dealing with characters that know how to fight from a distance. Thankfully, his Style Action, Hotshot, allows him to close the gap quickly once he manages to lock on the opponent with it. In addition, landing this attack allows him to stock up Heat to use additional moves for extra damage.
