Chaos Spear

Chaos Spear (カオススピア, Kaosu Supia^?) is one of many Chaos Powers, and one of Shadow the Hedgehog's signature techniques.

Usage

Chaos Spear is a technique where the user channels raw chaos energy as a form of electricity into a spear-shaped energy construct and then fires it as an energy bolt. Its power-level can be adjusted by the user, making it weak enough to just stun a target or powerful enough to inflict injuries. Users like Sir Lancelot can also channel the Chaos Spear's energy through swords when firing them. Once manifested, the Chaos Spears are substantial enough to be physically grabbed and get embedded in surfaces.

The means of firing the Chaos Spear are numerous. The most recognized way is just by swinging the user's hands forward to fire them as arrows. Other methods include hurtling a cascade of spears in an energy burst, manifesting the spears in midair and shooting them at the target, firing them from the palm of the hand, or just grabbing and then throwing them manually like actual spears. Additionally, entering a Super State amplifies the Chaos Spear's power significantly, to the point where a single one can blow up an entire building.

On top of the original technique, there are many modified forms of Chaos Spear that are usable by other characters.

Chaos Lance

Main article: Chaos Lance

Chaos Lance is a larger, explosive version of Chaos Spear. It was first used in Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) as an upgrade for Shadow the Hedgehog's Chaos Spear attack, unlocked before the final boss fight with Mephiles during his storyline.

Chaos Flare

Main article: Chaos Flare

The Chaos Flare is a Chaos Spear coated in fire. It is capable of cutting though any form of biological material in its path. Compared to the original Chaos Spear, it does more damage to organic targets, but it lacks the power to completely destroy machines. It is Will the Echidna's signature move.

Solar Flare

Main article: Solar Flare

The Solar Flare is a supercharged Chaos Flare. It works the same as a Chaos Spear, but is more powerful. It is the signature move of Blazing Will.

Frost Spear

Main article: Frost Spear

A Frost Spear is a Chaos Spear coated in ice. It is capable of passing through metal with ease. In comparison to the original move and to Chaos Flare, Frost Spear is more effective against machines and metallic things and can penetrate organic targets, though not as deeply. It is Maddy the Hedgehog's signature move.

Pykrete Spear

Pykrete Spear is a more powerful version of the Frost Spear (pykrete is essentially a tougher version of ice).

Critical Slash

The Critical Slash is a wind and water-based Finisher. More commonly known as Shatter, It's used by Shahooter, and works very well like Chaos Spear, He can simply do it by snapping his fingers and Talon, then the amount of Feathers hit into the Enemy, will come back times two, for example, if Shahooter hits his enemies 20 times with his feathers, and uses Critical Slash, 40 Shatter Feathers will come and hit the Adversary..regardless of location..

Darkness Spear

Zant can use this move to forcibly teleport his opponent a short distance away from his location.

Chaos Missile

Main article: Chaos Missile

Chaos Missile is a variant of Chaos Spear usable by Shima, Xilax, and Hali, including J (which has been taught by Shima). It has the same strength as Chaos Spear, but it is shaped like a missile from a war plane. It is Shima's signature move.

Chaos Dagger

Main article: Chaos Dagger

Chaos Dagger is a variant of Chaos Spear used by Statyx. After dispersing a Chaos attack (so far only Chaos Spear and its variants) either from his opponent or, on rare occasions, his own, Statyx forms the dispersed Chaos energy into sharp shards and sends them flying at the opponents. These shards have great slicing power, and their number depends on the power of the attack dispersed.

Sword Spears

Main article: Sword Spears Sword Spears is Grey the Wolf's signature attack. He charges Chaos energy from pain and releases it, usually killing biological matter and shutting down machines for good.

Anarchy Pilum

Main article: Anarchy Pilum

Anarchy Pilum is Moebius's version of Chaos Spear. It is used occasionally by Scourge the Hedgehog.

Chaos Dart

Main article: Chaos Dart Chaos Dart is a variant of Chaos Spear usable by Fortuna the Panther and, after learning it from Fortuna, Hunter the Fox. The user creates small knife knife-like projectiles out of Chaos energy, which can be shot/thrown at targets.

Electron Spear

Electron Spear is an electrical-charged variant of Chaos Spear that usually requires great focus to use. It is taught in the Lightning Mountains.

Chaos Torrent

Main article: Chaos Torrent

Chaos Torrent is a variant of Chaos Spear and Nazo the Hedgehog's signature attack. It is stronger than a normal Chaos Spear, is completely red, and requires large amounts of negative Chaos energy and concentration. The attack gets stronger the longer it is charged; when fully charged, it has enough energy to decimate an entire city.

Sonic Spear

Main article: Sonic Spear

Sonic Spear is the version of Chaos Spear used by Shadic. Unlike the standard Chaos Spear, it travels so fast that it cannot be seen by the naked eye.

Chaos Artificial

Main article: Chaos Artificial

This move was first used by Nitro the Fox. Nitro built his arm cannon to where if he puts a Ring in it, the cannon fully charges and shoots three green sharp lasers in three directions that can pierce through stone with ease. It is one of Nitro's signature moves.

Chaos Shower

Main article: Chaos Shower

Used by ET The Galactic Emerald, Chaos Shower rains Chaos Spears from the sky onto the opponent(s).

Chaos Slash

Main article: Chaos Slash

Chaos Slash creates a solid Chaos Spear to be used as a bladed or staff-like weapon.

Gaian Pike

Gaian Pike is a magical spear summoned using the energy of Dark Gaia.

Cyber Spear

Cyber Spear is a digital form of Chaos Spear similar to the ones used by Nicole the Holo-Lynx before the Super Genesis Wave.

Chaos Ranseur

Chaos Ranseur is a fork-like variant of Chaos Spear that is even more powerful than the Chaos Lance.

Mystic Fork

Mystic Fork is a form of magical spear used by Merna the Merhog.

Chaos Bullet

Chaos Bullet is a small but deadly beam of Chaos energy fired from the user's index finger. the user hold out his hand with index finger pointed outward and thumb pointed up like a child pretending to use a handgun and shoots out a powerful beam of Chaos energy from their index finger.

Chaos Arrow

One of Max Irvaron's attacks, Chaos Arrow is simply a stronger Chaos Spear that costs more Chaos energy.

Chaos Rain

Chaos Rain is essentially an endless onslaught of Chaos Spears. It is generally used by Max Irvaron if he wants to overwhelm his opponent.

Nitro Bolt

Signature attack of Ion the Hedgehog, Similar usage of Chaos Spear but formed from nuclear energy. It is as fast as lightning, hence it's name.
