Attacks that have a chance to induce a burn of varying severity in an enemy, causing damage over time and lowering their physical strength as well. It is primarily Fire-aligned attacks that fall into this category; however, there are exceptions.

Burns interact differently with a few genetic abilities;

  • Those with the genetic ability of Water Veil cannot be burned.
  • Those with the genetic ability of Flare Boost can still be burned, and be harmed by its effects, but they will experience a roughly 50% increase in both their physical strength and their latent connection to the Chaos Force as well.
  • Those with the genetic ability of Guts can still be burned, and be harmed by its effects, but they will experience a roughly 50% increase in their physical strength as well.
  • Those with the genetic ability of Quick Feet can still be burned, and be harmed by its effects, but they will experience a roughly 50% increase in their natural agility as well.
  • Those with the genetic ability of Resolve can still be burned, and be harmed by its effects, but they will experience a roughly 50% increase in both their defense against physical attacks and their defense against energy-based attacks.
  • Those with the genetic ability of Marvel Scale can still be burned, and be harmed by its effects, but they will experience a roughly 85% increase in their defense against physical attacks as well.
  • Those with the genetic ability of Runic Absorption can still be burned, and be harmed by its effects, but they will experience a roughly 85% increase in their defense against energy-based attacks as well.
  • Those with the genetic ability of Synchronize can still be burned, and be harmed by its effects, but they will afflict their attacker with burning as well (if the attacker can be affected by it, depending on their own genetic ability).
