Candlelight the Echidna is a fan character created by Darkest Shadow. She just tries to be an ordinary girl living in Beach Cove City. She is loyal, but isn't really good at fighting evil. She loves to help her community.
Development
Candlelight first started out as a teal tikal recolor in the mid 2013's. Later on, her creator made her into an apple green echidna with lots of green clothes. She made her be from the west and have a south accent.
Later on, her creator found the southern Candlelight very silly and made her the Candlelight she is today. In 2015, Darkest Shadow renewed her current design.
General Info
Aria Patrice France is a teenage echidna living on 900 Goldenoak Terris. As of now, she currently attends the MCA and is roomates with her best friend, Monica the Fox. Also, she has two other best friends, Ashley the Cat and Lili the Cat. She also has a boyfriend: Evergreen the Echidna. The five (but usually without Evergreen so four) of them love to hang out. Her only relative is her mother, Ariel. Her father, Charles Jr., passed away during a car accident, so she lives without the man of the house. Also all of her grandparents passed away of old age.
She loves to help clean up her environment and is enrolled in a part-time job of a maid for anyone in Beach Cove City with a messy home. She cleans every little detail so they don't have a mess. She also asks the person questions on what to do in case of electronics in what to elave on, and what to leave off.She also goes on to the beach and cleans up all of the garbage to make the beach safe. She even convinced the mayor to dump all of the waste to somewhere that's not the lake.
When she is free, she would go to the mall. If not, she goes away from the MCA and reunites with her mom. She also would like to ride bikes with her friends to her house. She does this to jump into the huge creek in the back of her house.
Backstory
Candlelight was born on March 4. Nothing much is known about her birth, her life was normal. Her parents taught her her powers: fire powers from her dad, and ice powers from her mom.
Later on around 7 years old, she handled her powers on her own. She also met her first best friend, Monica the Fox. They always hung out.
Two years later, she met two of her best friends. Lili the Cat and Ashley the Cat. Together, Candlelight, Moncia, Lili and Ashley all became best friends and hung out with each other a lot.
In Middle School, she met her crush, Evergreen the Echidna. She always fantasized about him. Later on, Monica, Lili and Ashley encouraged her to ask Evergreen out. Later, Evergreen and Candlelight were officially dating.
Throughout Middle School, she was getting bullied for her personality. She was made fun of by lots of kids, yet other kids loved her.
Also, she saw Alexis Petals live in a concert in the seventh grade. She also started to watch the fashion contests held in Mariala City and Cheerleading. She saw her inspirations before they knew them.
Physical Appearance
Candlelight is an echidna with apple green colored fur. She has jade green hair that goes down to her middle back. Her ears are hidden behind her hair, like most echidnas. She has a peach muzzle too. Her tummy and arms are covered in fur. Her eyes are aquamarine.
Candlelight wears a blue cropped tank top with a same colored bra underneath it. Her tummy is showing. She also wears a blue knee-length skirt with pointy triangular frills. She wears pale blue socks and blue shoes. To complete her outfit, she wears a pair of white gloves as an accessory.

Personality
Candlelight is very thoughtful of her community of Beach Cove City. She loves to do things for charity and tries to make her hometown a better community to live in.
She is also quite quiet. She isn't a mouth content, but she isn't mute either. Her personality makes lots of kids call her a doormat. She was bullied many times in her middle school, but her friends were always there for her.
Her love for shopping isn't as big as most girls, but her love of the beach is high. She loves the summertime and loves to walk on the beach not just to have fun, but to clean up after other people. She's like a maid.
She could be fooled oftenly due to her naive nature. Many people do this to prank her and she believes most things people tell her. It's possible though that's she'll know it's a lie/prank.
Skills
Singing- Candlelight sings, but she does it for her friends and to entertain her town, not to become a pop artist. Her singing is pretty good and many people other than her friends enjoy her voice. She happens to sing in a somewhat soft tone, and can hit low and high notes with ease.
Organazation- When it comes to organization for events, Candlelight's the one to call. She can plan events pretty quick and hire people to work for the festivities. Her direction and order to the people working is crystal clear. This way, the workers would get the job done right.
Cleaning- Candlelight also loves to clean up. She does community service, because she wants to, not because she got forced to. She does this to grow her community and make it a better place. From the gum under the tables, to the litter on the ground, to the parks in the plaza, to the beaches, Candlelight sure knows how to fix up the place!
Modeling- Candlelight has a bit of an experience for being a model for magezines and designing clothes. Christina taught her how to do this, and she became not bad.
Cheerleading- Though she isn't very experienced at it, Candlelight signed up for the cheer team. Michelle encouraged her to do this, and she made it all the way to the finals down in Mariala City. She is a base for her flyer, and her jumps are very high.
Abilities and Powers
Photographic Memory- Candlelight was born with a natural gift of photographic memory. She is able to remember everything she sees. This comes in real handy when she needs to study for a test, of analyze a crime scene, etc. etc. She can even remember the tiniest detail, like a citation from a note or letter.
Pyrokinesis-Candlelight knows how to manipulate fire. She learned this from her father when she was a little girl. Everyday, she practiced and by 7 years old, she took off flying the path of fire. Now she uses it to light candles to put in the lamp lighters. You don't call her Candlelight for nothing. Her fire powers can go as far as to become blue fire, the hottest form. This only happens with pure concentration. She also uses this in battle or when fighting against a natural disaster.
Cyrokinesis-Candlelight also knows how to manipulate ice. Her mother taught her this when she was a little girl. Everyday, she practiced and by 7 years old, she was set free. Now, she usually uses this power to make ice sculptures for Beach Cove City. She is said to have the ability to even make ice disappear, and freeze opponents.
Climate Changes- When the climates change, Candlelight has a boost in her elemental powers. Her powers work perfectly in a neutral climate, where it's not to cold or hot. However, in a very hot place, her fire manipulation becomes severely strong, even up to the point where she can create fire over water, and without oil! It also works in the opposite way;in a very cold place, her ice manipulation becomes stronger, up to the point where she can create powerful ice spears and waves.
Weaknesses
Climate Changes- Although it states above that climate changes have a strong effect on her elemental powers, it is also a strong weakness. Candlelight's two elemental abilities work perfectly when in a place where the climate isn't too hot or too cold. However, when she is in a very hot place, her ice manipulation is weakened, and can even go up to the point where it's absolutely harmless. On the other hand, when she is in a very cold place, her fire manipulation is weakened, and can even go up to the point where it's harmless. This is probably her biggest disadvantage in battle.
Naive Nature- Being naive is a big disadvantage. This causes lots of people, especially villains, and bullies, to take advantage over her. She can be easily manipulated into doing whatever they want, like giving up her powers, or cheating on tests. She sometimes knows how to break free and know that she is being tricked on, but it's not often that happens.

Relationships with Family
Charles Jr. the Echidna- Charles was Candlelight's father. During high school, he fell off of the balcony of her aunt and uncle's house. It was a sad death for all, especially Candlelight
Ariel the Echidna- Ariel is Candlelight's mom. Ever since she set off to the Mariala County Academy, she hasn't seen her ever since.
Relationships with Canon Characters
Knuckles the Echidna- Knuckles and Candlelight are good friends. They don't talk a lot, unless he visits Beach Cove City.
Tikal the Echidna- Candlelight only knew Tikal when she accidently stepped into a time portal devised by Kester. They aren't enemies, but they're more like acquaintences.
Shade the Echidna- To Candelight, Shade is a close friend. Same to her. They only interact when she's in town and make a good combination.
Sonic the Hedgehog- Candlelight only met Sonic once. They don't interact that well. They first met when she was walking and he passed by.

Evergreen the Echidna- Candlelight and Evergreen are currently dating. They always see each other. Everytime they make out, Candlelight feels a spark as if she were watching fireworks. She enjoys every date he takes her out on. Ever since he moved to the west coast, they still keep in touch and surprise visit each other.
Monica the Fox- Candlelight and Monica are best friends. They have been friends for a very long time now. They nearly always hang out and do things together when either of them are free.
Ashley the Cat- Ashley and Candlelight are also best friends. They have been friends for quite a while. They always hang out when they are free and have nothing to do.
Lili the Cat- Lili and Candlelight are great friends. They have been friends for a quite a while. When either of them are free, they usually spend time together at each other's houses.
Alexis Petals- Alexis and Candlelight are pretty good friends too. Candlelight has always been looking up to Candlelight as an inspiration on her singing.
Christina "Christie" the HedgeCat- Christina is another one of Candlelight's inspirations. She inspired Candlelight in fashion. Many people encouraged her to become a model, and she only did it for magazines.
Michelle the Cat- Michelle is yet another one of Candlelight's inspirations. She inspires her in Michelle's movies. Michelle also encouraged her in cheerleading.

- Candlelight is the only echidna created by Pianoteen to have a hair color different than her fur color.
- Candlelight is the only female echidna created by Pianoteen.
- All the canon friendships Candlelight made were echidnas. (Sonic and Candlelight aren't friends.)
- Candlelight and Evergreen are the only echidnas created by Pianoteen to be dating the same species.
- It may be possible that Candlelight got her name by this: "She knows pyrokinesis and lights candles to put them into lamp lights." lights candles = Candlelight
- Candlelight is the only character created by Pianoteen to have a deceased parent.
- Despite having a disability against climate changes, Beach Cove City is the only hot city where Candlelight's ice powers, aren't lowered.
