Burst is a rushdown character that very much prefers to stay up close and personal with her opponent. Her method of rushing the opponent down is maintaining a strong offensive position by controlling either her positioning or her opponent's before dealing a massive load of damage with any one of her supers, which are likely to be powered up by her unique Riot Gauge, which determines the potency of her attacks and is filled up by maintaining her offense. Her Style Action is her primary tool in controlling her opponent's position and is used to keep them right where she wants them.

Of course, being such a rushdown-centric character - let alone one with such a high emphasis on maintaining an offense - means that she has little options for other forms of playstyle. She sports no projectiles that she can readily use at her beck and all, as her Riot Cannon, which is technically a projectile otherwise, still requires her to be right next to the opponent in order to fire it off and her Planet Buster is a super move, thus requiring a bar of the Action Gauge to use at all. She also has not much in terms of defensive play, as doing so would actually decrease her Riot Gauge and her only real defensive option doesn't even work on physical attacks. Overall, despite appearing simple enough to pick up, mastering Burst requires a solid understanding of how to take full control of unbound power.

Moveset

Riot Claw - Exchange button

  • Burst's Style Action, in which she performs a quick grab before slamming them down on the ground, causing a ground bounce that can allow for combo extensions. Alternatively, she can pull opponents closer to her instead, albeit not dealing any damage as she does so.

Insurgence Rush - Arcade Modifier (Air) AS QCF + Attack button

  • Attack light Version - Burst launches herself forward at a horizontal angle with a quick but mighty blow.
  • Attack medium Version - Burst lifts herself into the air with a flying uppercut. In midair, she instead dives at a downward angle with a hefty blow.
  • Attack h Version - Burst blasts herself forward with a powerful blow, covering a greater amount of distance at high speeds and crossing the opponent up should it lad. She can follow up by pressing Attack button upon landing the first blow, in which she performs a flying uppercut.

Grand Uprising - AS S + Attack button

  • Attack light Version - Burst knocks the opponent into the air with a hard-hitting uppercut.
  • Attack medium Version - Burst lifts herself and the opponent skyward with a powerful blow enhanced by raw energy.
  • Attack h Version - Burst starts off with an hard-hitting, energy-enhanced blow. Should it connect, she then blasts the impacted opponent upward with incredible force.

Bedlam Spike - Arcade Modifier (Air) AS QCB + Attack button

  • Attack light Version - Burst knocks the opponent upward with a rising knee strike before knocking them back down on the ground.
  • Attack medium Version - Burst lifts herself and the opponent with a rising knee and follows it up by sending them back down on the ground with a hard-hitting blow, causing a sliding knockdown on impact.
  • Attack h Version - Burst blasts the opponent high into the air with a knee strike. She then channels energy into he right arm and lashes out with a devastating blow, causing a hard knockdown upon impacting the ground.

Riot Cannon - [delayable] AS QCF + Exchange button

  • Burst starts with an uppercut with her left hand. Should that connect, she then follows up with a short-ranged blast from her right arm that causes knockback.

Titan's Shield - [hold] AS QCB + Exchange button

  • Bursts raises he right arm up in front of her, absorbing any non-physical projectile thrown at her, filling up a proportional amount of her Riot Gauge in the process.

Planet Buster - Arcade Modifier (Air) AS QCF + Attack lightAttack medium

  • A Decisive Action where Burst channels a sphere of energy onto her right hand before tossing it forward, causing an explosion on impact. It also can be aimed upwards or downwards, depending on whether the move is performed on the ground or in midair.

Sovereign's Fall - AS QCB + Attack hExchange button

  • A Decisive Action where Burst channels a large amount of energy onto her right arm before lashing out with a devastating blow that deals massive damage on impact and sends the opponent flying.

Final Revengeance - AS QCF + Attack hExchange button

  • Burst's Decisive Climax, wherein she grabs the opponent with her Riot Claw before unleashing a savage beatdown on them. She finishes it off by lashing out with one final, devastating blow from her right arm that sends them a fullscreen's worth of distance away on impact.

Isolation - Arcade-Stick-DownArcade-Stick-DownArcade-Stick-Down + Attack hExchange button

  • Burst's Shutdown finisher, wherein she begins by suddenly flinching and grasping her right arm. Should her opponent attack as she does this, she immediately reacts by lashing out with a sudden torrent of raw energy coming out from her, prompting a sudden transformation into a completely different form. She then grabs the unfortunate fool with a spectral hand that is visibly larger than her normal Riot Claw and has it lift them high into the air before tossing them back down with as much force as she can muster, causing the ground to erupt upon impact and leave the battlefield nothing more than a wasteland with only Burst standing before falling down on the ground and turning back to normal, losing conscious all the while.
