As stated in the main page, the world of Blue Blur takes inspirations from different adaptations of Sonic the Hedgehog, such as the games, comic books, TV shows, and so forth. It combines all of it in one cohesive, original story that's meant to entertain and unite a generally broken fanbase for the mascot of Sega.
Included Characters[]
Generally, unlike other fanworks, Blue Blur consists of nothing but redesigns of the original characters throughout the franchise. With the exception of Vangelis, it has no fan characters whatsoever, mainly because Mac didn't want to take the Sega route and introduce a new important character throughout every saga. He felt fan characters would go through that approach, which he's avoiding it. As for Vangelis being the only exception, he wanted to have it so that Vangelis has a similar approach to Yacker from Sonic Colour; a new character that doesn't have that big of a focus, but still contributes to the story. He didn't want to give Vangelis a similar treatment to, for example, Silver the Hedgehog or Sticks the Badger; Instead, he'd rather give him a more minor role compare to the other main characters.
As for the official characters, they're slightly redesigned to give this "Transformers vibe". While none of the characters are realistic (with maybe the exception of Robotnik), they have different touch of their design in comparison to the original designs to suit their abilities better. Sonic has a ring for a necklace and a sleeveless jacket to suit his 90s attitude and athletic skills; Cosmo has a more flower-y design for her clothing and petals are added on her buds to show her soft side; Tails has goggles on top of him alongside a working belt for his engineering skills; Knuckles is a lot more buff (like his Boom design) and has fingered punching gloves with spiked brass knuckles for his sheer strength; Amy has a more athletic female clothing and a belt that can summon her Piko Piko Hammer for her similar athletic skill to Sonic; and Sticks has clothing made of animal skins and leaves for her wild trait.
The characters shown below are to appear in the first entry, Blue Blur: Curse of Mobius. For more detail on the first entry, click here.
Protagonists[]
The self-proclaimed Hero of Mobius, Sonic is a fast-thinking, adventure-loving speedy hedgehog who would always pick a fight on Robotnik for the excitement and for the sake of going fast. Cosmo, his sidekick and adoptive sister, claims that there's still a bit of Nicky Needlemouse in him, but who's this Nicky Needlemouse she's speaking of? He's voiced by Jaleel White. |
Sonic’s sidekick, Cosmo is a caring, kind-hearted Seedrian who assists Sonic on every adventure to help him in situations he can't solve himself. With the power of Solar Energy at her disposal, she's capable of defeating robots with ease and without physical contact, and she can levitate in mid-air and give Sonic a lift. Although she claims to have no memories past landing on Mobius when she was a child, her incredible power might suggest something else... She's voiced by Tara Strong. |
The assistant of Dr. Robotnik who's just as intelligent as his adoptive father, Tails is a snarky, smart-mouthed two-tailed fox who would build SWAT-Bots and assist Robotnik on his assault on Sonic to prove that he is a worthy son of his. However, when he gets to know Cosmo more and more, he might have a change of heart and learn the truth behind Robotnik... He's voiced by Nicolas Hoult. |
The tomboyish hammer-wielding warrior, Amy can be described as the opposite of Sonic; aside from pink to blue and boy to girl, Amy thinks first before attacking whereas Sonic acts before thinking, Amy prefers guerrilla strategy while Sonic is more of a "hit-and-run" guy, etc. Compare to Sonic, Amy is vulnerable without her Piko-Piko Hammer, which is her weapon of choice. When not battling, she cooks food for the team, strolls around Knothole Forest, and secretly enjoys watching comedy-romance films. She's voiced by Daisy Ridley. |
Sticks the Badger Wild, unpredictable and insane, Sticks is the sidekick of Amy and a wildlife Mobian who only recently became Amy's partner. Similar to Amy, Sticks doesn't use her hands or feet to attack, but rather her boomerang, which is capable of instantly growing to a massive size, enough to cut a SWAT-Bot heavy in half. Despite the sheer strength of her weapon, she has a rather low self-esteem, and can only fight properly whenever Amy is right beside her. She's voiced by Nikka Futterman. |
Knuckles the Echidna
The Guardian of Angel Island, Knuckles is a short-tempered and dense echidna who's sole duty is to protect the Master Emerald at all cost. Nothing else matters to him. When Metal Sonic stole the Master Emerald and got Angel Island to fall to the ocean, he went out to search for the treasured diamond across Mobius. When he mistook Sonic for Metal Sonic, he's on the constant chase to kill Sonic, believing that he was responsible for stealing the Master Emerald. Though the more he roams across Mobius, the more he learns about the world around him... He's voiced by Dan Green. |
A recently born Chao from the hidden Chao Garden, Vangelis is a young, naive Chao and the newly-formed companion of Tails ever since he hatched from an egg. Tails named him after the renowned Modern Greek musician of the same name because, before Robotnik adopted him and turned him into his apprentice and second-in-command, he always wanted to become a musician, and he was once fascinated with Vangelis' work from Earth. Vangelis may be very reliant on Tails throughout the entire journey, but he won't hesitate to help him and his other friends from danger, and makes for a solid companion of Tails. He has no voice actor playing him for the role. Instead, audio clips of the Chao from Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 were reused for Vangelis' voice, alongside the other Chao. |
Antagonists[]
Dr. Ivo Robotnik
Formerly known as Julian Kintobor, and often mockingly named by Sonic and Cosmo as Dr. Eggman, Dr. Robotnik is not only the founder of the roboticist cult, but the dictator of Mobius and the owner of the Robotnik Empire. He's on the hunt for the Blue Blur, and would make countless plans to remove Sonic's head from his shoulders in order to keep his legacy safe. He also wanted to conquer the entire universe with the Chaos Emeralds to turn every living being to robots. Despite having the technology to do so, Sonic endlessly thwarts his plans to the point that he's far from achieving his menacing goal. He's voiced by Patrick Stewart. |
Hyper Metal Sonic
The duplicate of the Blue Blur himself, and the most feared robot in the Robotnik Empire, he was created by Tails in order to match every skills, powers and abilities that Sonic has. Little did Tails know that Metal Sonic was also created to replace him in case he betrayed Robotnik. Hyper Metal Sonic can do almost everything that Sonic can do: he can go as fast as him, can perform the Spin Dash and Homing Attack, etc. But despite being a copy of Sonic, he refuses to believe he is that, and thinks that he is the real Sonic. He's voiced by Jim Cummings. |
Scratch and Grounder Tails' former two assistants before his betrayal, Scratch is the over-confident and loud-mouthed brain of the two, and Grounder is the dense and whiny tool of the two. Ever since Tails joined Sonic and Cosmo in the Freedom Fighters, they were forced to become assistants of Dr. Robotnik, which they felt is not the same as serving Tails. It didn't help that Hyper Metal Sonic, Tails' replacement, did the job of fighting Sonic a lot more than Scratch and Grounder could ever hope to achieve. They're voiced by Phil Hayes and Garry Chalk, respectively. |
R-102 γ Part of the prototype lineup of R-Series SWAT-Bots, Gamma was built as part of the intention to make near-invincible supersoldiers to defeat Sonic once and for all. However, in a desperate attempt to defend the Death Nova from destruction, he was rushed out of production (alongside the other prototype R-Series) to face up against Sonic, with no success. Due to his failure, he was eventually rebuild as R-123 Ω. He's voiced by Tom Kane. |
Minor Characters[]
Cliff Cliff is the laid-back, down-to-earth leader of Knothole Village who helps the residents around and gives support to Sonic, Cosmo, and later Tails. He's able to carefully plan ahead, he's very chill no matter the situation, and he never drops his promise from anyone. He's always there for everyone no matter what happens. He's voiced by Morgan Freeman. |
Q-N-C A failed prototype of Scratch and Grounder, Q-N-C serves as the assistant of Cliff in his governing job. He projects plans through his monitor to demonstrate to Sonic and Cosmo on where to head to next. He's fast-talking, has low self-esteem, and is always next to Cliff simply because he's not too confident in himself. He's voiced by Rob Paulsen. |
Perci Perci is a sarcastic and flirtatious messenger of Knothole Village who would give necessary information to Sonic. There were also hints that she might, might had a relationship with Sonic, though it wasn’t perfectly clear. Neither Perci or Sonic ever admitted that. She's voiced by Zoe Saldana. |
Earl/Foreman Fred Earl is the engineer of Knothole Village, who built machines to protect Knothole Village from more minor dangers. If his machines aren't enough, that's when Sonic and Cosmo steps in. He's smart yet doesn't brag about it, he tries to make his best efforts even though he's not very confident in himself, and overall, he's sort-of the every-man, despite his huge role. He's voiced by Jason Griffith. |
Salty and Pepper Two huge sailors and brothers, Salty and Pepper never got along ever since they were children. They were saved by Sonic and Cosmo from roboticization, but they blame against each another (not the two together) for their kidnapping. When not bickering against each other, they provide Sonic and Cosmo with needed vehicles, like airplanes and boats, to travel to Robotropolis through different matters. They're both voiced by Dave Bautista. |
Leroy the Turtle A lazy tech-savy turtle heavily armed with puns, Leroy serves as the radio announcer who aids Perci as the one who passes the message through different matters. He’s also an expert hacker, who can help Sonic and Cosmo by sending viruses onto Robotnik’s robots and computers. He’s also responsible for rearranging Q-N-C’s CPU to hold the purpose as Cliff’s assistant. He's voiced by Bill Farmer. |
Chief Woody A very nitpicky yet perfect chef, Woody is the cook of the village who provides food for all villagers, especially newcomers who were recently rescued. His nitpicky nature is what allows him to make the greatest food in Mobius. He's voiced by John Ratzenberger. |
Later Characters[]
The following characters are to appear in later entries in the saga. This includes major spoiler details, so beware.
Shadow the Hedgehog The Ultimate Life Form built by Gerald Kintobor with Black Doom's DNA, he once resided in the Man-Made Space Colony ARK to act as a bodyguard for the cancer patient Maria Kintobor. During those times, Shadow gained a close connection to Maria, the closest to brothers and sisters, and Shadow was assigned by his creator to find a cure for cancer in the other parts of the universe. Upon stumbling across Mobius, ARK and the researchers were attacked by G.U.N. Soldiers, with Maria being shot and killed by one of these Mobian Soldiers. The Soldiers tracked down Shadow to kill him, suspecting him to be part of the Black Army, but he managed to escape thanks to Maria before she was murdered. Upon being captured by G.U.N., Gerald became mentally insane and not only escaped the G.U.N. jail cell to reprogram Shadow's mind to kill all Mobians, but activated the emergency procedure to the ARK, all before he was shot and killed by the jail guards. 50 years later, when Robotnik freed him from the freezing capsule, Shadow took it upon himself to avenge Maria's death by committing genocide on the entire Mobian race. He's voiced by Jason Griffith. |
Vector the Crocodile, Espio the Chameleon, Charmy Bee, and Mighty the Armadillo Part of a group of independent detectives called Team Chaotix, the four agents are experts on solving crimes, foiling Robotnik's plans, and hacking devices. Vector is the leader of the group and the brains, being able to come up with plans, no matter how ridiculous it is, to put into actions; Espio is the swift and fast ninja of the team, who generally is the only one in the team who knows how ridiculous their cases can get; Charmy is the tech nerd and airplane enthusiast, not only having the expertise of hacking into networks of their opponents, but can also carry his team through his vintage airplane; Mighty, the former member of the Freedom Fighters from Knothole Village, is the muscle of the team, who joined Team Chaotix after the tragic death of his closest friend Ray the Flying Squirrel. Together, they are an unstoppable crime-solvers, who will stop at nothing to get the clues they need to rightfully arrest the perpetrators. They're voiced by Billy Crystal, Bruce Campbell, Owen Wilson and Roger Craig Smith, respectively. |
Big the Cat Big is a large fisherman with the mind of a child. Generally not in the mood for exciting actions and thrills, he's normally seen sitting near a pond of water with his fishing pole just to catch some fishes. However, don't let that laid-back mentality fool you; whenever threatened, he's a very dangerous opponent to deal with. His fishing pole's hook can transform into a giant mace ball, which is powerful enough to completely annihilate a SWAT-Bot Tank. His brute force is so powerful that his belly flop is very destructive, which can cause a seismic reaction powerful enough to break every robot around him. Despite his sheer strength, though, he is mostly unaware of that, nor that he cares anyway. Just as long as he's doing his favourite hobby, he's generally a very cuddly giant. He's voiced by John Goodman. |
Rouge the Bat A seductive yet tough agent of G.U.N., Rouge is a spy that works for the government. Generally, her mission is to keep an eye on Robotnik in case he plans on taking the planet away again and rebuilt his lost empire. Most of the time, though, she tends to collect jewels, since she loves these kinds of stuff. She's often on Angel Island trying to steal the Master Emerald from Knuckles to add it to her collection, without thinking about the consequence. Despite her attempts to foil Knuckles, she does have feelings for him, and makes subtle hints of it towards him, though Knuckles is completely unaware of that. As a G.U.N. Agent, she works with Shadow and R-123 Omega as her teammates. She's voiced by Kristen Bell. |
R-123 Ω A former member of the smaller Robotnik Empire, Omega wanted to seek revenge against Dr. Robotnik ever since he was locked away in a room when he disputed with his morality as a Roboticist. Eventually, he joined Rouge and Shadow in a mission to defeat the Metarex in Greengate, as he was promised revenge on Robotnik upon entering the planet. Afterwards, he, alongside Shadow, joined G.U.N. to assist Rouge and Shadow on military missions. He's voiced by Tom Kane. |
Galaxina the Seedrian The lone survivor of the invasion of Greengate, she has spent the rest of her life in the universe as a smuggler in order to survive. The invasion of her home planet turned her life upside down; she was once a royal representative who was optimistic and a bit of a doormat, now she was a hoodlum who's fierce and unmannerly. The one thing that kept her going was a picture of her and her family, which includes a very familiar face... (Think Han Solo meets Ripley) She's voiced by April Winchell. |
Silver the Hedgehog Silver is a warrior from the dreaded future conquered by Solaris. He was part of a group of Resistance, gathered together to dethrone Solaris from his throne. He was sent to the past when his companions were murdered in cold blood by Mephiles, a part of Solaris, while they were preparing a time travel machine to undo the future of Solaris. With his psychic powers and will to defeat Solaris once and for all, Silver would do his best to put an end to the doomed future, even if his existence would be erased. He's voiced by James Arnold Taylor. |
Mephiles the Dark One half of the Colossal Ruler Solaris, Mephiles is a vile, cold and murderous vessel-less being who wants to reunite with his other half, Iblis, to take over the world. He would take the shadow of Sonic as his vessel, turning himself into a direct copy of Sonic minus his speed and personality. He's voiced by Dan Green. |
The most powerful and most dangerous being in the universe, Mammoth Mogul is a egocentric and chaotic Prehistoric Mobian that was banished by the Seven Gods and Great God to the Emptyverse in the Special Stage because of his God-like powers and his devious use for them. Within the Emptyverse, he can indirectly control the villains in the real world to do his bidding, but has no control over the good souls. With the power he absorbed from the Chaos Emeralds and the Master Emerald, he is immortal and tremendously powerful, to the point that the Gods can only stop him by condemning him to the Emptyverse. All the villains in every multiverses are aware of his presence, and fear to make a single misstep, which could lead to their demise by him. (Basically, think Emperor Palpatine and Thanos blended in together) He's voiced by Laurence Fishburne. |
Zooey the Fox The young assistant of Old Man Owl, Zooey is a naive yet incredibly intelligent inventor who's arguably almost as intelligent as Tails and Robotnik. Though unlike the two mentioned, Zooey doesn't believe so herself, and is quite the shy girl. Eventually, she fell in love with Tails after he accidentally bumped into her, though didn't realized that he's already taken by Cosmo. There's also another thing about Tails that she's completely unaware, and neither is Tails himself... She's voiced by Colleen O'Shaughnessey. |
Emerl Part of an ancient species of robot built by the Ancients called Gizoids, Emerl was discovered by Zooey and Owl completely dysfunctional alongside his brother Gemerl, and supposedly permanently damaged. He was kept by Owl in his lab as a collector's item, until Lyric broke in and revived him and Gemerl. However, unlike Gemerl, Emerl was disobedient towards Lyric and joined Sonic and the gang to stop Lyric and Gemerl from committing mass genocide. He's voiced by Paul Bettany. |
Old Man Owl Old Man Owl is a scientist and inventor of the laboratory in the middle of Bygone Island, an area unaffected by the Robotnik Empire. He is best known for inventing the Enerbeam, a multi-purpose device that Sonic and the gang would later use in Blue Blur: Rise of the Ancients to fight against Lyric. He is assisted by his companion Zooey the Fox, who he found from the ocean ever since she was a baby. He's voiced by Mike McFarland. |
Lyric the Last Ancient Part of an lost ancient civilization much more technologically advanced than the Echidna Tribes, Lyric is a vile, sociopathic robotic snake who wants to erase everything that doesn't represent technology. He was trapped and frozen by Jules Needlemouse and Earthia in a ruins 40 years ago, where he may never leave... that is, until years later, Sonic, Cosmo and Tails accidentally released him from his eternal prison. Since he was free, he was on his way to exterminate all Mobians who dare to defy him, and rebuild his ancient civilization through mass genocide. He's voiced by Gerald Matthews. |
Gemerl Like his brother Emerl, Gemerl is a Gizoid that was unknowingly shut down centuries ago, and later revived by Lyric. Contrary to Emerl, however, Gemerl served Lyric loyally, and deemed Emerl a traitor for joining Sonic and his friends. Constantly, he would chase after them and ensure that they're dead. He wanted to have Lyric see their dead bodies to make him proud, seeing how Lyric isn't convinced that they're dead until he sees their bodies lying on the ground. He's voiced by Laurence Fishburne. |
Black Doom Leader of the vile Black Army, Black Doom was formerly a Prehistoric Mobian Hedgehog before a meteorite containing a black goo landed on Mobius and consumed him. When he became incredibly dangerous with his summoning of Black Parasites, he was banished by the Echidna Tribes in space through a soft rock known as the Black Comet. Wanting revenge against the Mobians, he returns to the planet every 50 years to try to wipe out the entire Mobian race before being banished every time. The closest he got to succeed on his mission was during the Great War 50 years ago... and when he manipulated Tails in his most recent return. He's voiced by Mike Shepherd. |
Eclipse the Darkling The deadliest soldier of the Black Army, he is to Black Doom like Serpentine is to Lord Brevon: Black Doom's most loyal servant and deadliest soldier of the Black Army. Despite being weak on his regular form, he is capable of shape-shifting to anything he desires temporarily to fight his opponents. He is the half-brother of Shadow, and has a personal distrust of him. He's voiced by Mark Hamill. |
Black Oak Formerly a Thorndrigan named Lucas, Black Oak was roboticized by Robotnik when the mad scientist tested his newfound robot army on Greengate through an invasion. He was eventually promoted as Commander of the planet, where Black Oak's reign of terror spreads throughout the planet and the universe. His hatred for flesh-beings (as he calls them "meatbags") led him to try to take over the Multiverses himself to eradicate all "meatbags" and have a world filled with plant life. He's voiced by Keith David. |
History of Mobius[]
Note: BC = Before Chaos; AC = After Chaos
Prehistory[]
100,000 BC[]
- A prehistoric Mammoth Mobian first discovered the Master Emerald shrine, and absorbed part of the Emerald’s powers, thus becoming Mammoth Mogul.
- With his newfound power, he strived to take over all the Multiverses. He was eventually banished to the Emptyverse by the Seven Gods and the Great God, making it the only time the Gods intervened in their
own creation.
10,000 BC[]
- The Echidna species of Mobians thrived in intelligence, population and dominance. They became the dominant species of Mobius, with all other species being seen as inferior due to their wild
natures. Each groups of Echidnas formed tribes around the worlds.
- Despite of their Mayan-like natures, they made several discoveries long before human beings made these discoveries, such as electricity, methods of flight, astronomy, etc.
- They also captured other Mobians and used them as game slaves. They build racetracks-like arenas in order to test their speed, due to the Echidnas having an obsession with speed. They were the ones who
built the famous Mobian ancient artifact, the Shuttle Loop.
5,000 BC[]
- A lonesome prehistoric hedgehog was given unspeakable powers from a meteorite containing an Onyx Stone. He thus became known as Black Doom.
- When he created a legion of bloodthirsty parasites named the Black Arms, he declared war against the Echidna Tribes.
- However, he and his army were defeated, and banished in space via a soft rock known as the Black Comet.
15 BC[]
- The Princess of Pachacamac’s Echidna Tribe, Tikal, was born.
2 BC[]
- Tikal became the second Mobian in Mobius to discover the Master Emerald shrine. Unlike Mammoth Mogul, she didn’t absorb the energy of the Chaos Emerald.
- There, she met with a mutated Chao that she named Chaos. They grew a close bond to one another, and Tikal was granted by Chaos the title of the Guardian of the Master Emerald.
1 BC[]
- Pachacamac was eventually alerted to the existence of the Master Emerald, and wanted to use it to conquer other Echidna Tribes.
- Tikal tried to stop him, but when he didn’t listen, she was injured by his troops, and all the Chao from the Shrine were killed.
- Enraged by the deaths of the Chao, Chaos absorbed all seven Chaos Emeralds and killed Pachacamac and his soldiers.
- Before Chaos could cause mass genocide to a majority of the population of Mobius, Tikal sacrificed her vessel by absorbing herself and Chaos within the Master Emerald.
Mobius After Chaos[]
0 AC[]
- The entrapment of Chaos marked the beginning of a new era, as the Echidnas were almost extinct and became an endangered species.
- Among those Echidnas, a red baby echidna was sent to the deep future by Tikal when she trapped Chaos. Alongside that, his mind was rearranged with the goal of guarding the Master Emerald from anything
that could hurt it. That baby Echidna was sent to the year 2264 on Angel Island.
- When Tikal entrapped herself with Chaos, the area where she used to live ripped itself off the ground and floated in the sky. The place thus became Angel Island.
2011 AC[]
- The Mobian Government formed an alliance with the Seedrian Government. They agreed to form a partnership in order to trade currencies, jewelry, weaponry, etc.
2236 AC[]
- Once again, the Black Arms declared war on Mobius. However, this time, they have the advantage due to having all seven Chaos Emeralds.
- This started one of Mobius’ most important historical wars known as the Great War.
- As the war rages on, Seedrians helped their allies by inventing devices like Monitors and Springs.
- Jules Needlemouse, Earthia the Seedrian and Merlin Prower were the front-men of the war, as they lead the Mobians to victory against the Black Arms. Despite how hard the war was for the Mobians,
they won it thanks to Jules, Earthia and Merlin.
2237 AC[]
- In response to potential wars like the Great War, G.U.N. was founded by the Mobian government. G.U.N. stands for Guardian Units of Nations. It was a government-run military made to protect Mobians from
any potential warlords or invaders.
2239 AC[]
- When a space station called A.R.K. (Ambitious Researchers of Kintobor) approached Mobius in search for a cure for cancer, the space station was raided by G.U.N. due to suspicions of Shadow and his link to
Black Doom. Maria Kintobor was killed when she got Shadow to escape within a freezing capsule.
- Shortly after A.R.K. inventor Dr. Gerald Kintobor escaped, he was given news that Maria was killed onboard, which hit him with depression. He eventually lost his sanity and relocated Shadow in his
freezing capsule and brought him to the abandoned space colony, where he reprogrammed his mind to get the Chaos Emeralds and bring them to the A.R.K. He also started the emergency procedure in the A.R.K., but was then quickly caught and imprisoned by G.U.N.
- He was given a death sentence via the electric chair, but not before he gave his final warning on how Mobians will pay for the death of Maria, and that they will regret interfering with his research.
- Shadow was locked away within the G.U.N. high security vault, never to see the light again.
2246 AC[]
- Through an unknown accident, Lyric the Last Ancient, a warlord from the prehistoric era, was freed from his prison.
- With assistance of G.U.N., Jules, Earthia and Merlin tried to stop Lyric from committing mass genocide.
- However, Jules was killed by Lyric when he tried to stop him. Eventually, Earthia and Merlin managed to lock him away in his prison once more.
- After a funeral for Jules, Earthia returned home to Greengate—the home world of the Seedrians—and became leader of the Seedrians, while Merlin became a lone wanderer, helping those in need that he
comes across.
Rise of the Robotnik Empire[]
2275 AC[]
- The worst part of Mobius’ history began, known as the Robotnik Empire era.
- Dr. Julian Kintobor, then known as Dr. Ivo Robotnik, started in invasion on both Greengate and Mobius.
- He restructured the planet Mobius as the main capital of his planned Roboticist Multiverse. Mobius was renamed to the Robotnik Empire
- Mobotropolis became known as Robotropolis, the capital city of the Robotnik Empire.
- Meanwhile in Greengate, Robotnik gave leadership of the planet to a roboticized Thorndrigan named Dark Oak, after Earthia was killed during the raid.
- Before Earthia died, however, she sent her baby daughter Cosmo to safety in a different planet. Unfortunately, she accidentally sent her to Mobius, which was becoming a Roboticist planet.
- Thankfully, Cosmo was eventually raised by former hero Merlin Prower.
- As the invasion happened, Miles Prower’s parents were killed by Robotnik. He was then adopted by the Roboticist dictator when he noticed his unusual two tails. Robotnik gave him the new name Tails.
- Cosmo’s older sister, Galaxina, escaped the invasion of Greengate, and lived the rest of her life as a galactic smuggler.
2277 AC[]
- Shortly after Merlin’s death, Sonic and Cosmo started their journey in Green Hill, in hopes to bring freedom and democracy back to Mobius.
- Robotnik was alerted to these two when Tails told him about them defeating him for the first time.
- As the journey becomes more intense, Sonic and Cosmo managed to damage Scrap Brain Factory and liberate all the Mobians sentenced to roboticization there. Among them were Rosy Rascal (who
would later be known as Amy Rose), Cliff, Perci, Foreman Fred, Salty, Pepper, Leroy, and Woody.
- This, in turn, officially sparked Robotnik’s hatred for Sonic.
- Shortly after the liberation, Sonic and Cosmo formed a sanctuary for the liberated Mobians known as Knothole Village, in hopes of recruiting more liberated Mobians and bring them to a safer shelter.
- Cliff became the leader of the Village.
- Leroy and Fred built a force field around Knothole Village that not only makes the village seem invisible, but also prevents any robots from being able to enter.
- (Q-N-C, who was found by Cosmo and rebuilt by Leroy, was the only robot capable of entering and leaving the force field)
- In response to Robotnik’s developing hatred for Sonic, Tails decided to help his father figure by building a robotic replica of Sonic.
- Failed concepts of the robotic replica includes:
- Pseudo Sonic
- Silver Sonic
- Silver Sonic Mk2
- Silver Sonic Mk3
- Mecha Sonic Alpha
- Mecha Sonic Beta
- Failed concepts of the robotic replica includes:
2278 AC[]
- Due to struggling on making a proper robotic replica of Sonic, Tails decided to build a robotic assistance to help him out. He initially created a robot named Q-N-C as his assistance, but due to several
bugs and glitches, he threw him out.
- Shortly after, he created Scratch as part of a duo of robotic assistants, and accidentally created Grounder when Scratch pulled a lever Tails didn’t need to pull.
- After Robotnik saw Tails’ creations Scratch and Grounder, he decided to promote Tails as second-in-command of the Robotnik Empire, feeling that he was right about Tails being gifted.
- He also assisted Tails in the development of the robotic counterpart of Sonic, thus starting the development of the deadliest robot of the Robotnik Empire, Hyper Metal Sonic.
- After Robotnik saw Tails’ creations Scratch and Grounder, he decided to promote Tails as second-in-command of the Robotnik Empire, feeling that he was right about Tails being gifted.
- Shortly after, he created Scratch as part of a duo of robotic assistants, and accidentally created Grounder when Scratch pulled a lever Tails didn’t need to pull.
- Tails eventually confronted Cosmo, and they started a short battle against each other. However, when Cosmo questioned Tails on why he served Robotnik, she was taken by surprise when Tails hesitated.
- After they stopped fighting, Tails decided to let Cosmo free. Cosmo started to see some good in Tails at that point, and felt that they could be friends if Tails wasn’t a part of the Empire.
- Amy Rose (who was formerly known as Rosy Rascal) was given secret training by Cliff when it comes to wielding the rare weapon, the Piko Piko Hammer.
- Cosmo eventually found the deactivated body of Q-N-C and got Leroy to reprogram and repair him. Q-N-C had since become an assistant of Cliff.
2279 AC[]
- While exploring the Knothole forest, Amy befriended a wild Mobian named Sticks the Badger, and quickly became partners.
- Cosmo discovered a secret paradise called the Chao Garden. She kept it a secret from everyone, including Sonic, to keep it from being endangered by the Robotnik Empire.
- Production of the Death Nova began.
Items[]
Chaos Emeralds[]
The Chaos Emeralds are seven mystical jewels created by the Seven Gods in the Special Stage in order to keep Mobius in peace. It is rumored that when the user gets all seven of them, it can “turn his thoughts into power.” It is the jewels that Robotnik wants to obtain in order to take over the entire universe.
Rings[]
See also Rings/Blue_Blur.
In Mobius, rings are among the most valuable jewelry in the galaxy, in which a lot of races from other planets are willing to buy from the Mobians in order to become richer, especially the Seedrians. There are two different types of rings in Mobius: the A-Ring, which gives Mobians more powers for a short amount of time; and the B-Ring, which not only are the most valuable and richest of all rings, but when enough are collected with all seven Chaos Emeralds, it can turn thoughts into power, according to Mobius' Mythologies. Sonic’s necklace has a ring in it (an A-Ring, to be exact), which gives him his advantages.
Shuttle Loop[]
They were once used by the Echidna Tribes to test their people to see who the Hero of Mobius is. The Echidna Tribes have a fascination in speed, so the Shuttle Loops were there to be used by the fastest things alive. Sonic later used the ancient Shuttle Loops to his advantage to avoid enemies.
Master Emerald[]
Created by the Great God to unify the Chaos Emeralds, it was the one thing that Knuckles must guard to keep Mobius safe. If the Master Emerald breaks or someone takes it away, not only will Angel Island fall, but it can bring darkness to the planet, and will bring a better chance for evil to fulfill their devious plans.
“ | The servers are the seven Chaos. Chaos is power, power enriched by the heart. The heart is the controller, and the controller serves to unify the chaos. | „ |

The gateway to the Special Stage. When enough B-Rings are collected, the user can use the Star Post in order to enter in the Special Stage to obtain the Chaos Emeralds. The only being in the entire planet who was allowed access to the Special Stages without the need of B-Rings was Knuckles, because of his role as the guardian of the Master Emerald.
Monitors[]
A special item created by the Seedrians in order to help the Mobians fight against the Black Arms during the Great War. Each Monitor contains unique items that can help the users to fight. However, Dr. Robotnik created the Robotnik Monitors, which actually harms whoever uses it in different ways. These are the following items that a Monitor can give:
- 5 B-Rings
- 10 B-Rings
- 20 B-Rings
- Shield
- Fire Shield
- Bubble Shield
- Electric Shield
- Invincibility
Springs[]
Like the Monitors, Springs were made during the Great War by the Seedrians in order to help the Mobians gain great height in order to reach some of the Black Battleship and destroy them before they reach the surface.
Locations[]
Knothole Forest[]
A peaceful, undisturbed forest that Sonic and Cosmo protects from Robotnik at all cost. It was there that Nicky was changed to Sonic the Hedgehog, and it was there that Sonic made his first witness to the Robotnik Empire by destroying one of the SWAT-Bots. It's inhabited not just by the Mobian refugees, but also by small critters like Flickies, Pockies, Rickies and so forth. It's also where the hidden paradise, the Chao Garden, resides.
Knothole Village[]

The safe haven deep in the forest built by Sonic, Cosmo, and the other Mobians that were first saved. People like Cliff, Perci, Q-N-C, Earl, Leroy, Salty, Pepper and Woody are some of the better known residents of Knothole Village, in which they all help out the many villagers to gain a better life outside of the Robotnik Empire. Robotnik isn't aware of this place ever since it was created, although some of his SWAT-Bots accidentally stumbles there, thus getting Sonic and/or Cosmo to destroy it before it causes any damage.
After the first defeat of Robotnik by Sonic and Cosmo, the two and the remaining Mobians founded a private village far from Robotropolis after discovering the rich landscape of Knothole Forest. The village is a sanctuary for all surviving Mobians, whether they survived the invasion or broke out from prison.
Chao Garden[]
The hidden paradise inhabited by small creatures known as Chao. Cosmo is the only one aware of the garden and frequently visits there without letting anyone know, even her big brother Sonic. She kept it secret to prevent all of her Chao from being endangered by Robotnik. She would later reveal this place to Tails, since he sworn to keep it secret, but no one else knows this place exist.
Green Hill[]

A wide open area in Knothole Forest, Green Hill was where Sonic's quest to defeat Robotnik began. When breaking a capsule for the first time, he met Cosmo, who they were first acquaintances before becoming adoptive siblings. This place holds a great deal of memory for Sonic and Cosmo.
Robotnik Empire[]
The Robotnik Empire is Mobius in its current state. Controlled by Robotnik, the Empire is where many Mobians were tortured, kept as prisoners, and were even turned into robots by the Roboticizer, thus killing them completely. It was Sonic's mission to completely destroy the Empire and bring freedom back to Mobius.
Robotropolis[]
See also Robotropolis/Blue_Blur

Every empires has a capital, and Robotropolis is that for the Robotnik Empire. Built upon the ashes of Mobotropolis, Robotropolis was where Robotnik made countless plans to kill Sonic, and where Sonic would often visit to "crash the party". It was also where Tails was taught by Robotnik on everything he knew, being planes, bulding robots, mathematics and so forth.
Special Stages[]
See also Special_Stages/Blue_Blur
The origin of the Chaos Emeralds from where the Seven Gods and the Great God created them alongside the Master Emerald. In order to enter in the Special Stages, one must reach a Star Post with enough B-Rings at one's disposal. It's also where the many multiverses can be seen contained in orbs.
The Death Nova[]
See also Death Nova

The Death Nova is a space-station built by Dr. Robotnik. It has a laser cannon powerful enough to turn the entire surface of a planet to ashes, that is if it's powered by all seven Chaos Emeralds. Robotnik started construction of the Death Nova when he conquered all of Mobius, since he wanted something to spread fear across the universe. Construction has been finished by the time Sonic has defeated Naugus, thus kick-starting his goal to collect all seven Chaos Emeralds to make the Death Nova fully operational.
Dust Hill[]
Dust Hill is a barren area located at the northern side of South Island, at the equinox of Mobius. It was once inhabited by Mobian Hedgehogs, a.k.a. Sonic's ancestors, but it was abandoned 50 years ago when the Black Arms soldiers brought the Great War to their territory. The Hedgehog populations were endangered after the purge by the cruel ancient beings. In Metal Overlord, Hyper Metal Sonic used this location as a means to build his empire of metallic being, believing that will save Mobius from the Mobians' "flesh prisons."
The Space Colony, A.R.K.[]

The A.R.K. (the abbreviated name for Ambitious Researchers of Kintobor) was an abandoned space colony build by Dr. Robotnik's grandfather, Gerald Kintobor. There, many researchers and colonists, including Robotnik's deceased cousin Maria Kintobor, travel across the universe in search for a cure for cancer. Unfortunately, upon researching for such cure in Mobius 50 years ago, the space colony was hijacked and shut down by G.U.N., fearing that the A.R.K. was inhabited by Black Arms soldiers. There were no survivors in that raid, and Gerald Kintobor was locked in an asylum where he showed his warning that he activated an emergency procedure in the A.R.K.. What that emergency procedure was is currently unknown.
Groups[]
Freedom Fighters[]
A group of rebellion founded by Sonic and Cosmo, the Freedom Fighters was formed in the hopes to overthrow Dr. Robotnik and his roboticist laws and fascist regime from Mobius and restore peace, freedom and democracy to the distant planet. Despite Sonic and Cosmo founding the group, they only took the role of guardians of the rebellion and their base, Knothole Village. The leader of the group is Cliff, a resourceful, polite, and down-to-Earth leader who Sonic entrusted him to the role due to him being more of a people-person. Several former prisoners who were freed from the Robotnik Empire joined the Freedom Fighters with the intent to liberate their families and friends who weren't freed yet.
Roboticists[]
See Also Roboticist
Roboticists are a group of human beings who believed that humans cannot live peacefully unless they became robots of the same flesh and mind. They were led by Dr. Robotnik, who was originally named Julian Kintobor before founding the Roboticist Cult. Their base came from Berlin, Germany, and they committed countless acts of murder and kidnapping. Because of it, they were seen as terrorists that needed to be stopped. However, the roboticist members didn’t roboticize themselves, and they said to themselves that they’ll roboticize themselves once all humans became robots.
Echidna Tribes[]
Echidna Tribes were the ancestors of Modern Mobians. In Ancient Mobius, while other Mobian species relied purely on instinct to survive, Echidnas had the necessary technology to be capable of surviving much easier. With what they have, including temples, proper weapons, transportation and so forth, they can produce their own clothing, food and shelters that other Mobians can't do on their own.
Echidna Tribes have an incredible fascination in speed. They captured a lot of other Mobians as game slaves to make them race in arenas. They also built Shuttle Loops, one of the most famous ancient artifacts in Mobius, to test these slaves on being capable of running through the loop without falling by gravity. They study the capability of speed for each species of Mobians, and tested them on the arenas with Shuttle Loops and other obstacles.
Eventually, a female Echidna named Tikal Guatemala has discovered the shrine of the Master Emerald, in the middle of the forbidden land known now as Angel Island. It was there that not only did she discovered the Chao, cute little creatures that keeps the shrine peaceful, but also discovered a mutant Chao she named Chaos, named after the ritual passed down to her by her deceased grandmother. When her father Pachacama heard about the arena in their kingdom, Tikal tried to prevent him from using the Master Emerald and Chaos Emeralds for war, but her father ignored her warning and, with his soldiers, not only harmed her, but the Chao on the way to the shrine. That's when they were attacked and killed by Chaos, who was angered because they injuring the Chao and Tikal. When Tikal woke up with serious injury, she noticed that Chaos has absorbed all seven Chaos Emeralds in order to annihilate a lot of living Mobians. As a last resort, she sacrificed her vessel to trap her and Chaos inside the Master Emerald, to prevent him from causing any more destruction.
The Echidnas were deemed to be extinct because of the massacre. However, one baby Echidna not only survived, but was sent to the far future by Tikal in Modern Mobius. The young red Echidna's mind was rearranged to know that he is the Guardian of the Master Emerald, and grew with that sole purpose as the only thing that matters to him. His name, as we know, is Knuckles the Echidna.
