The fire wielding guardian of the Sol Dimension, Blaze arrived in this dimension on a tip off that someone wanted to take the Sol Emeralds. With their power, she hopes to shut down that threat to the world before it’s too late.

Blaze’s playstyle revolves around her Art series of special moves. This rekka allows her to choose from various paths for any situation, whether that be damage, pressure or zoning. This gives Blaze some good mixup options. All her other special moves can also be charged, increasing their damage. In return for this damage and unpredictability she has low health and is rather finicky to control.

Blaze’s Throttles cater to different ways of approaching her playstyle. Throttle 1 allows for even more mixup options and combo starters, while Throttle 2 increases her standard damage.

Third Art-Grab DC 2 button during Second Art-Breaker Special Blaze grabs the opponent by the face and smashes them into the ground. Unblockable. OK in air.
Second Art-Offense DC 2 button during First Art-Opening Special Blaze swings a sword of fire at her opponent. OK in air.
Third Art-Slide DC 1 button during Second Art-Offense Special Blaze slides under the opponent, knocking them off their feet.
Third Art-Kicker DC 2 button during Second Art-Offense Special Blaze kicks the opponent away. OK in air.
Second Art-Lasher DC 3 button during First Art-Opening Special Blaze swings a long chain of fire at the opponent. OK in air.
Third Art-Whirling DC 1 button during Second Art-Lasher Special Blaze swings the chain around multiple times. OK in air.
Third Art-Bringer DC 2 button during Second Art-Lasher Special Blaze grabs the opponent with her chain and yanks them towards her. Blockable. OK in air.
Fire Tornado IMG 0408+DC 2 button (hold) Special Blaze spins round, releasing a tornado of fire. Holding the button charges the tornado and makes Blaze spin more. OK in air.
Fire Rush IMG 0408+DC 3 button (hold) Special Blazes rushes forward with her hand outstretched and holding a fireball. Holding the button increases the distance of the charge. OK in air.
Fireball IMG 0408+DC 4 button (hold) Special Blaze creates a fireball and throws it forward. Holding the button charges the fireball and increases its damage. OK in air.
Fireball Barrage DC HCF+DC 1 button+DC 2 button Super Blaze throws a large number of fireballs. These are angled downwards in the air.
Inferno Arena DC HCF+DC 3 button+DC 4 button Super Blaze sets a small portion of the arena on fire, dealing burn damage to the opponent if their in it.
Fourth Art-Second Sun DC 1 button+DC 2 button+DC 3 button+DC 4 button during any Third Art move. Finishing Strike Blaze transforms into Burning Blaze and flies at the opponent. She then uses a fire sword to slash them up into the air, hits them multiple times with fire chains and finishes off by dropping a giant fireball on them.
Second Art-Summon DC 4 button during First Art-Opening on the ground while Throttle 1 is active. Special Marine teleports in and does a slide attack akin to Sub-Zero.
Marine Art-Grab DC 1 button during Second Art-Summon. Special Marine grabs the opponent and pummels them to the ground.
Marine Art-Uppercut DC 2 button during Second Art-Summon. Special Marine uppercuts the opponent, knocking them into the air and allowing for follow ups from Blaze.

Throttles

Throttle 1: Adds Second Art-Summon, Marine Art-Grab and Marine Art-Uppercut.

Throttle 2: Chargeable specials charge much faster.

Good Ending

Blaze fights Gemma as the final boss.

“I discovered the girl who planned to steal the Emeralds: Gemma, a cyborg with a gem obsession. I was forced to fight her when her desire for the Emeralds overtook her and she attacked me. I returned to my dimension knowing she would no longer be a threat to the Sol Emeralds, and even if she tried to take them, stopping her wouldn’t be an issue.”

Bad Ending

Blaze fights Shadow as the final boss.

“I was tricked. The tip off led me to Shadow, but during our fight the gems were stolen. Me and Shadow reconciled for my mistake, naturally, but now I’m hunting the Emeralds without a lead. That said, I can’t imagine it being an issue with the Ultimate Lifeform on my side.”

Rewards

  • Completing Arcade once as Blaze unlocks Wrapped in Black for the jukebox.
  • Completing Arcade a second time as Blaze unlocks
