A stocky Broholmer that stands a fair bit over three feet tall, Birgitte has a short muzzle with a round nose, medium-sized ears that flop forward, and a medium-length, slender tail. Her legs below the knee also have a Cyberized appearance.
Her fur is primarily cadet blue in color, with a cadet muzzle, ear tips, and tail tip, as well as a white chest. Her hair, which is tied back into a bun, is black in color, and her eyes are air superiority blue in color. Her Cybernetics are also cadet blue, cadet, and black in color.
Birgitte wears the standard Eurish Egg Soldier fatigues, which consists of a rhythm long sleeve top with white cuffs, white stripes down the arms, and a zipper down the front, as well as white gloves and black pants cut off at the knee to make way for her Cybernetics.
Not much is known of Birgitte's childhood, except for the fact that she had spent all of it paralyzed from the hips down, and her parents had never been able to afford proper treatment or therapy. She spent almost all of her life in a wheelchair, slowly growing more bitter and depressed with her condition, and even contemplating suicide more than once.
An Offer She Couldn't Refuse
Birgitte was roughly 20 years old when she was approached by Norrix the Wolverine, on the hunt for potential new recruits for the Eurish Egg Army. Seeing the condition she was in, he played on her fragile state of mind, claiming that she could walk again if she went with him. Birgitte had been wallowing in depression for a while; she barely made enough money to support herself, so what hope did she have to afford surgery to fix her legs?
As a result, she practically jumped (figuratively) at Norrix's offer, blinded by desperation; he was offering her the means to finally be able to walk, and for free! At least, the cost was not a monetary one...
Joining the Eggman Empire
Norrix took her to Dr. Eggman himself, where the doctor told her about Cyberization; it would fix her legs with Cybernetics, not only allowing her to walk, but to have legs better and stronger than ones of mundane flesh. She'd "feel like a brand-new person", and all she had to do was pledge her loyalty to him.
It took her little convincing, and she agreed to Eggman's terms; she was too excited and desperate to realize just how massive the cost of her newfound ability to walk would be...
Birgitte is a respectable melee combatant, with great physical strength (especially in her now-usable legs) that allows her to execute powerful kicks; she can also throw a hefty punch, having worked out even when she was confined to a wheelchair. Being a canine, she has a keen sense of smell and hearing, and she also has sharp teeth and strong jaws, making for a nasty bite.
She wields an Energy Stave as her primary weapon, and it bears a core of refined Petramite; this gives her an Earth-aligned punch with this weapon, yet she has no form of Elemental manipulation otherwise. She does carry a laser rifle with her, but she's not exactly a master sniper.
Birgitte has no specific resistances to any Elements or energy-types. She's more durable than she looks, and can weather physical attacks fairly well. The Cybernetic enhancements in her legs give her great walking/running stamina, as well, allowing her to travel for hours on end.
Birgitte has no specific weaknesses to any Elements or energy-types. While she has pretty good durability, her resistance is nothing special, and she can't handle energy-based attacks very well. She's also not particularly agile, making her a bit poor at dodging attacks.
Friends and Foes
- The Eggman Empire -
- Eurish Egg Army -
- Norrix the Wolverine -
- Gavriil the Weasel - Due to Gavriil being a traitor despite him now being allied with the Eggman Empire, she barely considers him an ally.
- Armand the Hawk - Birgitte often finds the hawk's shyness annoying, but she still cares about him.
- Sustineo the Fox -
- Olga the Rabbit - While Birgitte won't admit it, she finds Olga's attraction to her flattering.
- Eurish Egg Army -
- Gavriil the Weasel - Birgitte and Gavrill get along terribly, and the weasel seems to delight in aggravating her, despite the consequences he often faces as a result.
- Whitewood Freedom Fighters -
- Dark Clan of Voidstar - Birgitte bears no personal ill will towards the Dark Clan; they're her enemies purely on a professional level.
- Light Clan of Celeritas - Birgitte bears no personal ill will towards the Light Clan; they're her enemies purely on a professional level.
- Gavriil the Weasel - Birgitte hates Gavriil for betraying the Dark Clan, despite the fact that he's now on her side.
Birgitte often comes across as austere and humorless, almost never smiling and seeming to have little patience for foolishness. She's known to despise traitors, believing them to be cowards; it's for this reason she hates Gavriil's guts, as he had betrayed the Dark Clan to join the Eggman Empire. It also doesn't help that the weasel made a comment about her "having a stick up her ass" to which she responded by punching him hard enough to break his jaw.
As much as she's loathe to admit it, she owes Eggman her livelihood; it was his Cybernetics that gave her the ability to finally walk after 20-odd years of being confined to a wheelchair. The fact that she essentially gave up her freedom for this has not sat well with her, and is definitely a contributing factor to her overall sour personality. She's also known for being incredibly blunt, to the point where she's rather tactless at times.
Despite this, she's unflinchingly brave, and will never back down from a fight, even if the odds are against her; sometimes she needs to be dragged away from situations that would very much kill her if she stayed. She's surprisingly slow to anger despite her cold personality, and usually doesn't express more than simple annoyance over things. However, her anger, when finally roused, tends to be quite explosive, and bringing up her bargain with Dr. Eggman is a guaranteed way to draw her ire.
