Barnaby the Cat is the grandfather of Calvin and Micah. He used to be a swordsman in his youth.
He is based on Elder Kettle from the indie game Cuphead.
Physical Description
A somewhat stocky elderly cat who stands a fair bit over three feet tall, Barnaby has a short muzzle with a triangular nose, medium-sized, triangular ears, and a fluffy, medium-length tail.
His fur is primarily gray-blue in color, with a white muzzle, chest, stomach, and tail tip; he also has an argent-colored mustache and eyebrows. He has no hair on his head, instead having a tuft of longer fur, and his eyes are pale taupe in color.
History
Adopting his Grandsons
When Barnaby's grandsons were just infants, their mother brought them over so he could take care of them; this was in an attempt to keep them safe, and since Barnaby lived in the United Federation City-State of Station Square, both parents were also hoping the presence of G.U.N would keep their kids safe.

Being as old as he is, Barnaby's physical capabilities are simply not what they used to be; he's not terribly fast or strong (he uses a cane to help himself get around), and his hearing and eyesight are not as keen as they once were. Despite this, however, his aurakinesis is formidable, such that he can launch Aura Spheres with ease.
He can also use his aurakinetic abilities to temporarily improve his faltering senses, and even to briefly improve his agility to the point where he doesn't need his cane to walk/run. His aura is a pale purple color.
Due to his age and generally passive nature, Barnaby prefers not to fight if he can help it, and typically only attacks when absolutely necessary; even then, he aims to disable and drive away, rather than knock out or kill. He'd likely make an exception to this if his two grandsons were being threatened, however...
Strengths/Resistances
Barnaby has no specific resistances to any Elements or energy-types. He can use his aurakinesis to surpass his physical limitations, but only temporarily.
Weaknesses
Anything that is capable of disrupting altering, or blocking Barnaby's energy flow will outright cripple his aurakinetic abilities, as will any kind of psychological attack that clouds his mind; constant distractions can also disrupt his aurakinesis. He has no specific weaknesses to any Elements or energy-types otherwise.
Due to his advanced age, Barnaby's not very fast or durable, and relies heavily on his aurakinesis to defend himself; without it, he's easily defeated.

Barnaby is a kind old man who loves his grandsons to bits, and would do anything for them. He's slow to anger, but tends to come off as passive, preferring to avoid conflict and solve things more peacefully. Anyone who hurts his grandsons, however, will definitely arouse his ire.
