Austin's Adventures (remake)

Austin's Adventures is a story detailing how Austin Smith arrived in the Four Worlds and became a Storm Fighter. It is currently being remade, with some aspects changing as a result(which will be listed below). A Brother's Search will also be remade.

Overview

Description: Long before he was the massive, strong warrior leading the Storm Fighters, Austin was a young boy lost from his home in Washington state. When Austin is somehow dragged into the Four Worlds, he finds himself on a crazy adventure; not just to save an Island from invaders, but to find his true destiny as a warrior.

Detailed Plot Summary:

Prologue: The Prologue is the exact same as the original story: Austin is watching a movie with his brother Michael when he is somehow dragged through his TV and eventually lands on Angel Island.

Main Story: Austin wakes up in a house owned by an Echidna family(later revealed to be owned by Wynmacher, Lara-Le, and their son Knecapeon Mace, or "Kneecaps", as he is nicknamed), but realizes his appearance has changed, as he is no longer a human, but a German Shepherd. He heads out for a bit, taking his shorts off(as they do not have a hole for his new tail) and getting used to his new form. He also ends up encountering Finitevus, with Austin becoming thoroughly intimidated, and shaking for a while afterward. He leaves the clearing they are in, heading back to Wynmacher after nearly running into a Legionnaire in his fright. Another Legionnaire tells Austin that Lien-Da wishes to see him alone, and leads him to her. Austin meets her, but is uncomfortable to see Finitevus there as well, leading to Lien-Da teasing him about his fear. After a short conversation between the Kommisar and the US native, Finitevus asks to show Austin the Master Emerald, to which Lien-Da reluctantly accepts. He then leads the nervous young loner to the chamber where the Master Emerald is. Despite his fear of Finitevus, Austin is amazed by the Emerald, and Finitevus explains its purpose to him, also saying that while Locke is gone(having been captured by the Dingos), the Dark Legion will protect it, Echidnaopolis, and Austin himself-frigtening and confusing the young boy even more. Later, when Sonic and the Chaotix arrive at Angel Island, Austin eagerly greets them, largely ignoring Knuckles' jibes about the Prophecy of the Avatar. When Finitevus leads the heroes to the Dark Legion facility, and Lien-Da leads Sonic and Knuckles into the chamber of the Master Emerald, Austin hangs back. A voice inside him tells him to warn them of Finitevus' crimes in the future, but he thinks to himself out the heroes will question how he knows what he does, and he suspects Finitevus knows something about him, given how the mad doctor is acting around him. When Locke is rescued(with it happening between the events of the current and previous chapter due to a timeskip), he agrees to take Austin down to the then-unnamed Storming Base, with the pair meeting a young Frogadier who reveals his name to be Splash(explaining his wherabouts after he left the Outsiders). He accompanies them, educating Austin on the Four Worlds along the way. Partway through the journey, Austin is unable to sleep and encounters Finitevus in the forest. The mad doctor offers to get him to the Base much faster in exchange for his help, but Austin refuses out of his terrible fear, and Finitevus warns him that he knows where he comes from. When Austin finally arrives at the Base with Locke, Fox is reluctant to accept a new warrior, but his deputy E.J. convinced him to let the young dog stay, with it being mentioned later that Fox didn't question Austin after the final battle with Sonic.EXE(supposedly, as it mentioned the events of Revenge of Sonic.EXE). After the second battle(and Kairn's death), Austin is exploring Lamarkie Village with Shane the Wolf when he has a run-in with a pretty black-furred German Shepherd who says her name is Rosa. She teases him a bit, but they otherwise hit it off. A month later, Austin is sitting guard outside the Storming Base(as this is after the Storm Fighters are given their new name) when Finitevus startles him. The villain then begins needling Austin, taunting him about his "secret" and revealing he knows how close Austin and Rosa(who is now living at the Base) are. After getting Austin to confirm he has a family, Finitevus cruelly taunts him further, asking if Austin was trying to use the warriors to replace his brother, which Austin vehemently denies. Wanting Austin to "prove it", Finitevus challenges the young warrior to reveal his secret to the rest of his Team, saying that if he got kicked out, he would come with him. Austin promises to tell them the next day, and he does. Fox allows Austin to stay regardless, and when Austin blurts out that he knows a lot about the Four Worlds, he immediately regrets it, as Finitevus has been watching the whole exchange, and overhears this. Later, Michael returns, and Austin convinces Fox to let him stay. During their off-time, Michael tells Austin what happened to him, prompting his older brother to have them go confront Finitevus, which doesn't go too well, as Finitevus once more taunts Austin, and vaguely threatens the young warrior, and he blacks out. In the next Chapter, Austin and Storm explore the Chaos Chamber, but are found by Finitevus(in a very abridged version of the chapter from Storm's War). Later, Austin is terribly shaken, and rests as time passes, with Michael sent out on a mission to arrest Finitevus, and two German Shepherd pups are born to Austin and Rosa after the War.

Epilogue: Austin is laying outside the Base just prior to the War of Darkness, grieving Michael's death when Sky reports trouble on Angel Island, saying Finitevus was behind it. Austin raises his head and feels fury burn beneath his pelt, and feels a furious desire to avenge his brother. He is eager to be chosen for the patrol, vowing to make Finitevus pay for causing the death of his brother.
