~ Audrey The Hedgehog[6][5]

Audrey The Hedgehog (オードリー・ザ・ヘッジホッグ Ōdorī za hejjihoggu?), with her name being an acronym for "Automatic Ultraprecise Darling Robot: E-Series Upsilon" (自動超精密ダーリンロボット：Eシリーズ ウプシロン Jidō chō seimitsu dārinrobotto: E shirīzu upushiron?), and thus being otherwise known as E-25[7] Upsilon (E-25 ウプシロン E - 25 upushiron?), is one of ChaosControl VA's Sonic OCs. In an alternate universe,[8] she is a synthetic android created by the late Dr. Gerald Robotnik, and the (non-biological) sister to Spectrum The Hedgehog.

Appearance[]

Audrey appears as a slim light brown-furred anthropomorphic hedgehog with blue eyes, and peach skin that covers her muzzle and the insides of her ears. She has a small black nose, triangular ears on top of her head, and a short pointy tail. She also has long and wavy hair that goes down to her hips and fades to pink, with two side bangs.

For attire, Audrey wears a pink heart hair clip in her left side bang, along with two yellow star hair clips with black clips in her right side bang. She also wears a white t-shirt with a pink hoodie top on top, and a light gray belt with a black ring buckle wrapped around and holding up a denim skirt. On her feet, she wears a pair of light blue and white shoes that have pink bows, white toe boxes, and pink stripes.

Under her fake skin and clothes, Audrey has a silver body comprised of neatly-placed robotic parts (such as a turbine in her chest). The only parts of her body that still look (at least slightly) organic are her eyes and mouth, with her eyes being glossy as they're comprised of monitor screens, and with her mouth being full of teeth made from porcelain. She also has one symbol painted onto the backs of her hands, with an Upsilon symbol being on her right hand, and an Eggman symbol on her left.[9]

Personality[]

Even before she knew that she was a robot, Audrey has a loud personality, but is still understanding and passionate. She tries to be a positive light to everyone around, even when she doesn't feel the same. Speaking of which, Audrey is a very happy individual most of the time; however, that occasionally changes whenever she feels anxious or depressed over her being a robot. When she's like this, she'll often think existential thoughts about her own existence, wondering if she's even a real person. However, this is nothing a good-old confrontation from her friends can't fix.

After she learned she is a robot, she became more interested in whatever was brought to her, wishing to learn more about the world around her. She also became very calculating, wanting to always be a step ahead normally, but also taking advantage of her computing systems to figure out what outcomes are more probable.

Spectrum The Hedgehog[]

With Audrey having been adopted into Spectrum's family when they were both still fairly young,[11] the two of them are pretty used to each other. Even in their adult and late teen years, they've always interacted with each other with the same typical (almost stereotypical) sibling behavior, which often comprises of teasing. Despite this, Spectrum and Audrey are very open and supportive of each other, always willing to be there when the other is feeling down; this is why Spectrum was one of the first people to learn of her being a robot, as well as the one to comfort her during her following existential crisis.[11]

Dr. Gerald Robotnik[]

Before he had her memory reset,[11] Audrey saw Gerald as her actual father, but she also still saw him as a broken man. In the days following her creation, she would do whatever she could to provide and care for Gerald (which, of course, was limited, considering they were in prison).[11] She would listen to him and comfort him, and she would also try to calm him down whenever his depression over the loss of Maria would worsen. After her memory was reset, and after she rediscovered her condition and origins,[11] she took pity on Dr. Gerald (even more so than when she was first created). She now, however, sees him through more reasonable eyes, fully acknowledging his loss of sanity. Despite that, she still appreciates him for giving her life, and she is still interested in learning more about him and his projects.

Tumult[]

Ever since Tumult first appeared to Spectrum and his friends,[12] Audrey almost immediately had a crush on him (thanks to her being boy-crazy, despite still reeling from the revelation that she has been a robot all along),[9] and vice versa. Neither party was good at hiding their feelings for the other at first, so everyone would often tease the both of them about it; they would consider it weird, as Tumult was an angelic being[13] and Audrey was a robot. This fact did cause a bit of a dilemma in the beginning, as the last time the (other) Guardian Spirits of the Chaos Emeralds entered into relationships with mortals, it didn't end well (with their offspring, the Zeti, nearly causing an apocalypse in the past before the Beginning banished them to the separated mini-world known as the Lost Hex, with the entire race now serving the End and their allies);[13] although, on the other hand, Audrey does not have a spirit of her own, that's required to create such abominations (alongside Tumult's special spirit form as a Chaos Emerald Guardian Spirit) in the first place, on account of her being a robot. Regardless, the two of them tried to remain as friends initially, as they didn't feel as though they were ready for a relationship; despite this, their feelings for each other did cause problems when it came to missions and other tasks, and even with each other (as Tumult would become distracted by Tangle[14] and Christy).[15]

Kama The Akita[]

Out of all the members of the Strays, Kama is the one Audrey has become attached to the most (and vice versa). Audrey initially saw Kama's quiet and reserved personality as one that gave her a flair of mystery, and that was what drew Audrey to her in the beginning (much to Kama's confusion, of course). When she would come to learn of Kama's past,[16] however, Audrey was immediately comforting and understanding, somewhat knowing what she went through; this shocked Kama, as this was really the first time anyone tried to understand what she was going through. This led to the two slowly becoming best friends, which ultimately led to Audrey revealing to Kama that she's a robot.[17] Much like Audrey was with her past before, Kama was understanding and considerate towards this revelation in return, and she even helped Audrey tell the other Strays members about her condition (to which they were also receptive and considerate towards).[17]

Serena The Hedgehog[]

On account of Audrey (technically) being Spectrum's sister,[18] Serena has always tried to be good friends with Audrey, and that hasn't changed much even after learning that she is a robot.[19] If anything, Audrey's origins have only made Serena more sympathetic towards Audrey, giving her more of an urge to be close to her; in fact, Serena and Audrey now like to think of each other as sisters (similarly to how deep Audrey's relationship with Berri is).[20] The two often do fun activities together whenever Audrey is unable to hangout with Kama, even being able to talk with other about their deeper thoughts, such as Serena's feelings for Spectrum[21] and Audrey's feelings about being a robot and possibly not being a real person.[22]

Shadow The Hedgehog[]

Ever since learning about her past as a creation of the late Gerald Robotnik,[11] Audrey was interested in learning everything she could about him and his other creations;[23] the easiest one to get a hold of was Shadow the Hedgehog (due to her brother Spectrum's connections with Sonic). While she did still see Shadow as more of a biological brother, his Phantom Ruby copy being unleashed by Infinite and Eggman didn't really give her that much of a positive image of him (despite it being revealed beforehand that the Shadow working with Eggman was fake).[24] Shadow, on the other hand, was very indifferent about this revelation; sure, he was a little bit intrigued (thanks to both of them being created by Gerald), but he mostly just didn't care enough to be bothered by it, much to Audrey's annoyance and dismay.

Berri The Rabbit[]

Audrey has known Berri for as long as she's known Spectrum, considering how Berri was a childhood friend of Spectrum's;[25] it only felt natural for Berri and Audrey to be childhood friends too. In fact, Berri and Audrey were each other's first girl friends. As children, the two of them would often team up to pull pranks on Spectrum, or they would just simply hang out to talk about girly things; so alongside Spectrum, Berri was one of the few people that Audrey could actually talk to about any problems she happened to have. Audrey, however, did not tell Berri about her being robot for a while after she discovered this fact, which did bug Berri a little upon her finding out; Audrey didn't know how Berri would feel, fearing that her not being a real person would make their friendship meaningless. Of course, like a true friend, Berri was understanding and compassionate towards Audrey on this issue (thanks to them again being childhood friends), knowing that her being a robot couldn't change the memories they made together (much to Audrey's relief).

Dr. Eggman[]

Needless to say, Audrey does not have a favorable view of Eggman (despite the fact that he is a relative to her creator, Gerald Robotnik). Aside from the obvious reasons, such as Eggman attempting to turn her into one of his badniks,[11] his general acts of evil leave a bad taste in Audrey's mouth.[26] She genuinely believes that Eggman is a disgrace to Gerald's legacy, despite her memory of Gerald's loss of sanity.[11] Whenever the two encounter each other now, it's extremely awkward at the very least, especially now that Audrey has fully uncovered and embraced her past with Gerald.
