The Interview[]
# Q1: What language is his name from?
- A) His name is actually based off the word "Arbiter". The idea being something like "Someone tries to hurt him, they get hurt instead". Not a sound comparison.
# Q2: Where do his phobias of everything stem from?
- A) His panphobia probably comes from the fact that he could die from getting a cut or possibly hurt someone he cares for.
# Q3: Where did you come up with such an original super-power?
- A) I honestly can't remember. Looking back, I actually dislike it since I think it's too vague.
# Q4: Is there anything in his life that hasn’t gone disastrously wrong? & Q5: Is Arbito destined to suffer like this his all life, or is there a cure to his “powers”?
- A) It's been so long since I even thought about him seriously. I'd say no and no.
# Q6: Is he afraid of death or does he see it as a means to end all his sufferings?
- A) He's terrified of death.
# Q7: Is Arbito based on a real life person you hate?
- A) Not at all.
# Q8: “For several agonizing days, Arbito suffered at the life threatening illness. While he eventually recovered, he became frail, shaky, and had a persistent coughing, which occasionally became laced with blood. “ Does this mean that Arbito can survive fatal diseases, like pancreatic cancer, subacute sclerosing panencephalitis and Ebola?
- A) The disease may kill him, or he may fight it off. The fact he's been unable to rely on modern medicine has essentially made his immune system ironclad.
# Q9: What have been the results of the Government Containment Facility’s research on Arbito’s powers so far?
- A) See 4/5.
# Q10: Do you feel pity for Arbito?
- A) I do. His life sucks.
