— Amelia the Hedgehog
Amelia the Hedgehog is an original character created by BearfootTruck. Ordinarily, she is a detective working for the Emerald City Police Department. By night, however, she is a vigilante superhero known as "Black Talon"
Backstory[]
Amelia the Hedgehog was born in Amethyst Town. From an early age, she was shy and didn't have any friends. However, she not only proved herself to be a very smart cookie, but a creative soul as well, designing new clothes for her dolls. She also proved quite adept at playing piano and guitar, as well as doing art. She was also quite athletic, in particular being fond of basketball. While this earned her admiration from her teachers, it also made her the target of bullying from a girl named Sabrina, as did her somewhat clumsy nature. Too scared to fight back, Amelia attributed various bruises she got from Sabrina to getting injured while playing sports.
In middle school, Amelia's talents continued to bloom, and she even made a few friends, including Karen Thompson, who would end up becoming her best friend. Unfortunately for Amelia, Sabrina continued to bully her. Karen tried to encourage her to stand up for herself, but this only caused Sabrina to retaliate even more. Then, one day, at a school party, Sabrina attempted to humiliate Karen. Finally, Amelia snapped, and she beat Sabrina viciously enough that she needed hospitalization. The school staff threatened to expel Amelia, but Karen acted as her witness, as did a few other students who'd been bullied by Sabrina. Ultimately, Amelia was given a week's worth of isolation at lunchtime, but even so, Sabrina ended up becoming scared of her.
By the time she hit puberty, Amelia's confidence had grown greatly, as did her circle of admirers and her popularity. By now, when it came to career choices, she was unsure of what she wanted to do, but when she walked in on Karen's father watching an episode of Motor Squad, she decided she wanted to become a police officer. Granted, she never let go of her creative side, even joining a few bands in high school, but she had been told that her artistic talents were not to be used to make money and that she needed a real job, so she put more energy into developing the skills needed to become a cop. In the meantime, she joined her school's cheerleading squad, eventually becoming head cheerleader. Then, during her senior prom, another student attempted to rape Karen. However, Amelia intervened and saved her, and the two practically became inseparable.
After graduating school with honors, Amelia moved to Emerald City and entered the University of Emerald City alongside Karen. Having been inspired by Amelia's bravery, Karen also studied to become a cop alongside her. After they graduated college, Amelia and Karen enlisted in the Emerald City Police Department's training academy. Amelia got high marks in the academy, and her FTO spoke positively of her, but noted a tendency to act rashly at times. As her police career went on, she dialed back her more impulsive tendencies, and she even joined the Criminal Investigative Division. However, her growing frustration with what she perceived as "unnecessary red tape" would lead her to conduct her own crimefighting campaign…
Personality[]

Amelia is sweet, joyful, optimistic, outgoing, and always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. However, she also has a lot of anxiety over random things, and while usually disciplined and focused, she can become clumsy when trying to juggle too many things at once. Nevertheless, she is confident in herself and will do her best to power through difficult situations. She also says "OH MY STRAWBERRIES!" whenever she gets really excited about something.
As Black Talon, Amelia's anxiety disappears, and she becomes more cocky and seductive. She is also very stubborn, and when she sets her mind to something, she will not stop until she gets it done, no matter what the cost.
Appearance[]
Amelia is a voluptuous, well-endowed orange-yellow hedgehog with amber eyes, a white muzzle and a white patch of fur on her belly. She has four reddish-brown bangs surrounding her face and reddish-brown hair on her head, which is tied up into a voluminous ponytail.
Amelia's typical attire is a pink tank top, a black Vanson Villainess leather jacket, white capris and white ballet flats. She also wears a pair of white gloves with gold ring-shaped bracelets.
As Black Talon, Amelia wears a black form-fitting long-sleeve bodysuit made of a special bulletproof material called Aramex. She also wears a black domino mask, a pair of spiked leather bracelets, a studded leather belt and black knee-high Wesco leather motorcycle patrol boots. She also has a pair of black gauntlets with titanium talons on them.
During the summer months, Amelia wears a white summer dress with a strawberry print on it and white sandals.
For sporting purposes, Amelia wears a black sports bra with white trim and black spandex shorts with white trim. However, for different exercises, this attire may vary slightly. For example, when practicing yoga, she wears a pair of pink yoga pants, and for tennis, she wears a blue skirt with white trim.
Abilities[]
Amelia can run at least as fast as Amy. Aside from being able to Spin Jump and Spin Dash, she also has unparallelled acrobatic abilities and is an expert in CQB and martial arts, particularly Krav Maga. She is a good driver and good with firearms, but she is particularly skilled at getting opponents to surrender without firing a shot. She is also very flexible and skilled at yoga. She is also a skilled seamstress, a good guitarist and keyboardist, a skilled artist, good at music production and a good cook. Amelia is also able to function all right if she gets little to no sleep, but feels better if she gets sleep and has some caffeine in the morning. Amelia also possesses Hedgehog Sense, which gives her a sort of precognition.
Items & weapons[]
Amelia's sidearm is a 2nd-gen Colt Detective Special in blued finish. She prefers a handgun to long guns, but for situations requiring more firepower, she also has an Uzi, an Ithaca 37 "Stakeout" and a Colt Commando. Her car is a Tuxedo Black 1972 Chevy Caprice sedan. Her guitar of choice is a Fender Stratocaster with a Marshal JMP 2203 amp, though she also has a Martin D-18 acoustic, and for keyboards, she owns a Steinway upright piano, a Fender Rhodes, a Clavinet D6, a Memorymoog synthesizer and a PPG 300 modular synthesizer.

- Amelia is somewhat based on Marinette Dupain-Cheng from Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir. However, as Black Talon, her actual personality is closer to Catwoman.
