Alexander Lehman Edurus, or just Alex, is a fourteen-year-old fan character created by Heroic412229. He is Sid's best friend and a minor character in Sonic Overload. He was at school, feeling bored with Sid until Ominous's assault broke out and they had to evacuate. At the end of the game, he was at the celebration party after Ominous' defeat. He is the tritagonist of Sid the Hero (Remains).

Alex is arrogant, cynical, and hates boredom, especially when at school. He can be brash and lazy, but very street-smart and witty when needed. He is very loyal and protective of his friends and others and is willing to help them when needed. He's also a great chef.

Alex is a white-skinned boy with brown hair and green eyes. He wears a black t-shirt, a dark-blue jacket with black pockets, reddish-brown and white pants and shoes and black and blue socks. He also has two, small, round bite marks on the left side of his cheek. He also wears a black cap with a green button.

Alex has the most attitude out of all his friends. Usually cynical, arrogant, proud, and sarcastic to a fault, he likes to think very highly of himself and can be very offended when proven otherwise. He loves action and is prone to get into fights, marking him as very brawny, brash, and aggressive. He also hates boredom and sharing his personal feelings with others, including his friends and loved ones.

While normally cool, determined, and laid-back when in a good mood, he can be very short-tempered and hard to reason with at times when his buttons are pushed or when stressed or upset. He’s very distrusting and prone to seeing the worst in others, except for those close to him. He can also be a bit of a troublemaker. All these traits can lead to inadvertently getting both him and others into trouble and cause friction between him and his loved ones at times.

While far from genius-level intellect, Alex is a lot smarter and more competent than he looks and has basic common sense, able to understand the dangers and difficulties of real life. He’s also very perceptive, resourceful, and observant, able to notice and understand the feelings of others and work with what he has to his advantage. While he is mostly failing in his classes, it’s mostly due to a lack of effort rather than pure stupidity. He’s also a great cook and a more hard-working person than he lets on, especially when he’s not at school.

Despite his attitude, Alex does have his redeeming, heroic, and good-natured qualities. He has a strong and fierce sense of loyalty towards those he cares about. He deeply and genuinely cares about his friends and loved ones and will do whatever it takes to help them, even risking his own life and personal values when needed. He’s also quick to see the error of his ways when he realizes that his attitude and behavior has gone too far and will do anything to make things right again, even apologizing if he has to. His heart is always in the right place in spite of his brawny exterior.

Additionally, in spite of his brash and aggressive attitude, he refuses to go against those who are weaker than him or who can’t defend themselves. He’s also very courageous and brave in the face of most dangers, except for snakes, and will genuinely stand up for those who can’t do so themselves. He can be very supportive, sympathetic, and encouraging to his friends and others when they’re down or discouraged and hates bullies or those who would do things far worse than he would do, like killing or making fun of the handicapped.

He also hates doing gross things and doesn’t like it when others do it as well. Alex has a dry and snarky sense of humor and tends to make jokes and remarks when annoyed. Alex also loves to be carefree, have fun, and joke around with his loved ones when he's not putting on a tough exterior.

However, underneath that tough and unruly exterior lies a self-hating, insecure, and emotionally scarred person. Due to the way his horrible family treated him after his mother’s death, Alex, deep down, thinks of himself as unlovable and undeserving of care. He also has a secret fear of his own insecurities and tries to put on a tough persona so that his family and others would think that he’s cool and deserving of love and he would have to numb his emotional pain. He also hates himself for being a jerk and feels immense guilt for both his actions and for inadvertently being the cause of his mother’s death immediately after his birth, thinking that he’s irredeemable despite all the genuine good he’s done. After all the abuse he'd suffered, he may have gained a lot of PTSD from it.

After some help and advice from his friends and loved ones, as well as a personal psychiatrist and realizing that his bad attitude doesn’t make him cool, Alex does become a warmer and friendlier person who’s willing to share his feelings with others when needed. While he does still have his snarky, moody, and temperamental attitude, it’s become more toned down and less present than before. He also has less self-esteem issues and more willing to see himself as someone who’s deserving of love and respect.

Early Life

Alex wasn't always the cynical, arrogant and sometimes short-tempered, yet fiercely loyal and protective person he is in the present. He was once an insecure, self-hating, and less confident child during his early years. As a child, Alex was the runt and outcast of the family. He was constantly mistreated and bullied by his shallow older siblings because of both his insecurities and low confidence as well as secretly fearing that if they don't, their father would punish them harshly. The reason for this was due to his mother, who his father loved more than anything, dying during his birth. Alex had to do the cooking and cleaning in the family in order to impress and make it up to them, but they didn't care.

Because of this, he felt so much pain and felt so unloved that he developed a cynical, tough, and arrogant attitude in order to hide his insecurities and so that he wouldn't feel hurt anymore, which worked for his siblings, but didn't work for his father, who was still mad at him for the death of his wife during Alex's birth. After his older brothers moved out of the house, he felt lonely because the only person there with him was his distant father who barely provides for him.

At school, when he saw Sid being bullied by the other students, he decided to defend him from them since he knows what it's like to be bullied and mistreated and didn't want others to go through that as well. It worked and they became best friends.

Sonic Overload

During the events of the game, Alex is seen being bored with Sid at school.

Powers and Abilities

Despite having no superpowers like Sid, he can still hold his own due to training Karate with Clover after school in order to keep up with him. He's a quick runner with very fast movements and reflexes. He's also very strong and durable, able to deal moderately powerful blows as well as take a moderate amount of damage with some scraps and bruises. He can also be able to jump up to moderateply great heights. He also has great hand-to-hand combat skills and is a great chef. He is a very powerful fighter in his own right. Despite having impressive physique, he's still not as powerful as Sid the Hero after his transformation, but is still able to keep up with him.

  • Because he and Clover don't have any superpowers like Sid, they can both still get hurt or killed very easily by extremely powerful opponents and attacks.
  • He can have a nearly unquenchable thirst for action that can lead him to pick fights with opponents that are too strong for his own good.
  • His cynical, arrogant, and sometimes short-tempered and hot-blooded attitude can lead him into making very rash decisions.
  • While he's far from slow-witted and has basic common sense, he's not the most calculated person around and is far from genius-level intellect like Sandra Franklin, Tails, or Eggman. He can also be very lazy when it comes to his academics.
  • Alex can be afraid of snakes and his own insecurities, leading him to temporarily drop his tough guy persona and cower in fear or deny his fears in embarrassment.

Sid the Hero

Sid is one of Alex's two best friends due to him defending Sid from the bullies at school. While they may be polar opposites usually, they can have some things in common with each other and care for others as well. He, along with Clover, is usually the one to call Alex out if he lets his attitude get the best of him, but knows that he doesn’t mean it.

He and Sid

Clover is one of his closest friends. Although they don't always agree with each other and can argue at times due to their differences, they still have a close bond and care for each others' well-being as a result. She, along with Sid, is usually the one to call Alex out if he lets his attitude get the best of him, but knows that he doesn’t mean it.

Both Rana and Alex are on good terms with one another. While Alex does have a soft spot for her, he doesn't want to admit it, similar to how he usually treats others, even towards his friends. Nevertheless, he still cares about her. Rana sees him as an extreme version of Sid, but she still likes him due to knowing that he's a good person deep down and the fact that he saved Sid from the bullies at school.

  • He has a fear of insecurity because how he was treated in the past and is one of the reasons why he acts the way he does.
    • He’s also afraid of snakes since his older siblings forced him to play with one and he got bitten by it on the left cheek. This explains the two bite marks on his left cheek.
  • His birthday is October 14th.
  • His favorite food is Shepherd's Pie
  • One of his deepest, darkest secrets is that he likes to watch Passion Ponies due to the great and three-dimensional characters, world-building, humor, and insightful morals, but he doesn't want to admit it due to losing his tough guy image.
  • He hates being called “Snake-Bite,” because it reminds him of that horrible incident where his older siblings made him play with a non-poisonous snake.
  • Alex has a sarcastic sense of humor.
  • Alex has a personal, moral code of loyalty of never leaving others behind or hanging, no matter how much they deserve it. This is especially true towards his friends, even when he's truly scared of something. However, that doesn't mean that he's supposed to trust those who deserve it, though.
