Personality[]

AkiraBase3.0

Akira is laid back, introverted, friendly, and level-headed. Aloof and socially awkward yet still respectful around unfamiliar people, he prefers to open up around people he is more familiar with, acting more cheerful with friends. He has a devil-may-care attitude, and could be described as downright lazy, though he can become easily stressed out, irritable, and tense due to time-sensitive and/or overall aggravating tasks. He is easygoing, intelligent, and mature, often being the voice of reason during arguments. Akira has a reputation for his dry, ironic sense of humor, spitting out a flurry of witty remarks frequently. He tends to be a rather jaded and angsty individual, becoming sardonic and grumpy when somebody ruins his cool mood, and his humor in turn having a more deadpan delivery.

Despite everything, Akira harbors a deep and mostly unseen melancholia. His 4 years of solitary survival surmounted in feelings of loneliness, which lead to him becoming incredibly obliged to the kindness of his friends and obsessing about their safety, becoming protective of them to a fault. This has only gotten worse the more fights, missions, and escapades be takes on, not only traumatizing him but also negatively reinforcing his unhealthy outlook. He does this to avoid feelings of guilt of the injury or death of a friend and isolation because of the lack of one. At his worst, Akira can completely drop his cool head in favor of somebody sorrowful and vengeance-driven, fueled completely by his uncontrolled emotions. Thus, Akira is quick to hold a grudge to anybody who even threatens a loved one, and is unlikely to bury any sort of proverbial hatchet easily.

Akira has a "geekier" side to him. From trading card games, comic books, and 1980s trivia, his love for pop culture knows no bounds. He has a large collection of Yu-Gi-Oh! cards, and his favorite comic book series is Stealth The Hedgehog. He loves music and avidly collects instruments, records, and CDs. His favorite bands include Nirvana, my bloody valentine, and Radiohead.

Powers and Abilities[]

Akirajuicedup

Electricity coursed through Akira's body since birth. Through Bio-Electrokinesis, Akira can project bolts of lightning, engulf himself in electricity, absorb it from his surroundings, climb walls, utilize it in combat, and emit a deadly EMP. During further training, he has unlocked the limited control of Electromagnetic fields and atoms, allowing him to telekinetically lift metal objects, create miniature explosions, and hover on water via electrolysis. He can use his electricity to augment his speed to run as fast as a lightning bolt. His training focused on agility and acrobatics, which led to him being able to jump to extreme heights, perform flips and tricks for more efficient movement, and traverse locations using parkour.

Beyond his physical abilities, Akira is a fairly intelligent individual. Mechanically adept, tech-savvy, and knowledgeable in basic chemistry, his main expertise is modifying and rebuilding existing machinery.

History[]

Born of Freedom Fighter parents; an his mother, Peggy, an Ergokinetic Fox, and an Magnus, his father, an Axe-Weilding Hedgehog with Magnekinetic abilities, Akira showed signs of power at an early age. More specifically, his mother nearly had a heart attack seeing young Akira in a sink with a hair dryer, electricity arcing around him. After school, he was trained by his uncle in the vital arts of survival, combat, and 80s pop culture trivia.

When Akira was around 9 years old, his parents started to receive cryptic threats from a secret terrorist organisation surrounding the research young Akira's electromagnetic abilities to create a whole new line of super-soldiers. Akira's parents reluctantly sent him out into the world for him to fend on his own, still regularly keeping in touch. Four years later, Akira is burnt out. He has had nothing but radio silence from his parents for 2 years, along with strange warriors starting to tracking him.

Akira decides to settle down in a small town, where he enrolls in middle school under a tuition labeled under his parents. While taking a walk through the town, he meets someone from his school. The two hit off instantly and become great friends, possibly harboring feelings of something more, wink wink nudge nudge. A couple weeks later. Akira and Molly hang out all the time, training, gaming, pranking other students, and generally enjoying each other's company. Molly’s free spirit teaches the pessimistic, grounded Akira about being more optimistic, determined, and that it’s ok and sometimes necessary to take risks and make mistakes, because, regardless of the outcome, you become wiser. The two's feelings for each other are at their peak, but threats from the organisation also are. Soldiers occasionally visit the town.

At night, in Akira's dorm room, a mysterious figure suddenly attacks Akira. He is later revealed to be the organisation's top agent. Akira challenges him to a duel in the town square, at 8:00 night. Molly decides to team up with Akira to defeat Vulcan. While studying old and derelict websites to find some shred of knowledge about the organisation, the two discover about a horrible experiment. 14 years ago (at the time), super soldier experiments were done on children ages 8–11, hoping that the abilities would kick in during puberty. Every child, upon reaching 12, did not survive the experiment, all except young Kenny. The experiment left the young prodigy with control over earth abilities, molten or otherwise. The experiment did backfire, however. He was supposed to be left with an iron, indomitable will, only bending to his masters. Instead, he was given a cocky, sadistic persona, with these newfound traits being locked behind a split personality. They coped with this by allowing him to transform between traits by will, with Vulcan's arrogance preventing him from changing back. Molly believes that she can free Kenny from his evil persona.

At the battle, Molly's plan succeeds, at first. Akira's electrokinesis held Vulcan captive, while Molly's chi abilities attempted to fill Kenny's persona with will, overpowering Vulcan. The plan goes wrong, with Vulcan going into a sort of "meltdown" phase. He started incinerating the ground beneath him, engulfing shops in flame. Molly's chi abilities tell her that Kenny's empowerment initiated a biological "self destruct", and that he needed "a good knock in the head" to stop the meltdown. Taking a chance, Akira, pushing his abilities to his absolute limit, creates his "Charged" form. The electricity from each of his attacks neurologically affects Vulcan, nudging him to a more stable mental state. Akira paralyses Vulcan in a web of electricity, leaving Molly to finally purify Kenny.

-timeskip to 3 hours later-

Akira and Molly sit on a small hill watching constellations. They reflect on past events, eventually revealing each other's feelings. The two laugh at each other on how obvious the signs were, then kiss underneath the stars.
