Duuuuude I love IDW's TF comics (if that wasn't obvious from my icons and growing collection of toys and comics...it's actually getting out of hand). Not sure how I feel about a crossover, the Marvel GI Joe/Transformers crossover is kind of a mess, and Sonic is drastically different...how do you think they'd tie the two together? I can definitely see TMNT working, though.
Hourglass watches him without amusement. He was likely drunk at this point, she realizes, and so disregards his words. She quietly laughs under her breath at the spider's response to him.
"Interesting." She takes another sip of her drink. "I'm not easily impressed, but I don't hand my trust out so easily. And you have quite the nerve to skip through time so frequently." She sets her now empty glass down and folds her hands.
"Tell me this: if you've gone far enough into the future to somehow earn my trust, and to discover the reception of his article, then why choose to return to this period in time?"
She stares at him, trying to decipher if he was joking or if he was being serious.
"The bird. A time traveler." She seems to state rather than ask, turning her attention to him. With his taste in clothing, she would've expected a different power or ability, say...balloons. He did remind her of a clown. "Him."
Eventually she shakes off her disbelief. "Regardless, how did you know? Did I somehow reveal my abilities in another timeline?"
It clicked in her mind. Oh. Oh. That explains it.
She narrows her eyes at the spider, now more weary than shocked. "What do you want?" She demands an answer, though in the back of her mind she's also concerned about the implied time loops; he must've had a reason to loop back...
Hourglass immediately gets up with an annoyed huff and tries to separate the two, but finds that the bird has a rather strong grip on the arachnid.
"I'll cut off your hands if you don't release him this instant." She threatens as she reveals Malice, a shapeshifting weapon that morphs into a bladed form. She didn't feel the need to save the spider, but she certainly wasn't going to get any answers this way. When he refuses to let go she does so.
"...I could use these in a future ritual." She looks back at the stilt, who was now on the ground bleeding. "...must I put you out of your misery? You're making a scene." Malice then turns into a bow and she shoots an arrow made of shadow through his chest.
She looks back at the spider. "...so, do you know where I could find any ancient tomes?"
(yo this shit is whack af)

The coyote takes a light sip of her wine, watching the both of them from behind her glass. She seems interested, but unimpressed with the sight before her.
Filthy knaves... She rolls her eyes.
She barely spares the hawk a glance as he whispers his protest. In all honesty, the god made a few good points. At least he was honest and open about everything, as opposed to Numen, who's been nothing but full of secrets. How could she possibly follow someone so blindly? How could anyone in her group, in fact?
Additionally, everyone knows that the last group of heroes failed under Numen's guidance. If a god could possibly fall, then they're likely to be doomed as well. At least Xulu knows how to survive on the island, and perhaps even know how to stop the threat of Malwrath.
She reaches out to take his hand.
She did a double take when she's served her beverage. How did he know what she wanted? Was he the type of person to guess people's drink choices?
The bird next to her had also gotten a drink too. She glanced at him, gauging his reaction to see if it was something he had ordered, and therefore expected, or if it were something that he too was confused about.
She sniffs it before taking a careful sip. Though she wouldn't consider herself an expert, she was known to be rather picky with her wines--at least, according to her sibling, and it does smell and taste like something she'd order.
Quietly, she pondered the spider's words. Small world?
She blankly stares at him. Who the hell was he talking about?
"No, I've never heard of such a man. And, my purpose with these tomes are none of your business." She would've told him if he had any experience with them, but considering how he's seemingly disturbed at the thought, she had no interest in speaking with him anymore.
She notices him change seats but hardly spares him a glance until he starts talking. He looked to be an oddball, likely one that doesn't practice older magic. But, if he was offering information, so be it.
"I am not lost, rather, I am in search of something. I suppose you wouldn't happen to know the whereabouts of any ancient tomes?" She speaks with a rather peculiar accent. If the stilt was familiar with accents, he could guess it was Oris or Xeloreus', though something about hers seemed different from their tongue.
A coyote strolls in with as she glances around the bar. She carried herself with cold confidence, disapproving of the drunkards that rambled on and on and glared at those that turned to see who the newcomer was. Back in her time period she wasn't particularly fond of Mavenland, and the sentiment remains today. However, she was forced to leave her home country in search of potential tomes, to no avail.
Bars were the place to go for information, even for long forgotten tomes. She sits down and notices a few stares, likely from her odd choice in clothing. While others were in a more casual attire, she opted for her cloak and traditional Hourglass period dress and headpiece.
She sits at the bar, a few seats away from the winged stilt. Not her preferred choice, but she needed information.
"Oh no" - Knuckles
"Let's not rush into anything. Did you want to know anything else?" She tries, on edge now that battle seemed practically eminent. It appeared that Xulu's condition was worsening, though he seemed to be more unstable for this reason.
When Coda is ordered to kill the both of them, she grabs Hiero by the wrist and starts running on spawned platforms of air, quickly giving up on reasoning with the god.
Momentarily she thinks back to her conversation with him. She should've known that he'd be soon to return, though granted, she would've also expected the other members to be with her by that time. She recalls that Taura had wandered off earlier, with Frost in pursuit. Were they attacked and were taken hostage? They certainly weren't dead, she'd be able to tell, but right now, the fact that they, and Numen, weren't there to help, didn't make the thought all that comforting.
