Personally I don’t like the censorship of Amy’s previous personality since it mucks up her character growth in Frontiers by implying she was never obsessive with Sonic, but other than that I don’t see anything wrong. In fact I think it improves characters like Knuckles, making him more like his original self rather than a dumb jock.

I know they changed the characters ages, but Vector can't reasonably be Cream's dad because prior to the age change Vector was 20 and Cream is 6 so there's a big problem with the implications of him being her father. I think reasonably Cream's dad either died or left the family leaving Cream fatherless.
