Uh, why is my name up there?
Correct .v.
I predict a loser will reply next.
Can we not vote on it sooner? Surely it wouldn't be a huge vote like the other 2 issues, and thus it wouldn't take as long?
Tbh, I didn't see anyone complaining. I don't see why we can't have them until the vote, since the vote will be like, an entire month away .n.

But they all mean the same to me. :x
Maybe my english isn't good enough to understand. I'm sorry.
there will be a vote once the current one finished in a couple weeks and then the one about recolors starts and finished around next month
Maaaan. Just when I got to be #1. Extra salty tears tonight.
Official Artwork that has been slightly edited (i.e adding bangs, eye-lashes, lipstick, etc.) is forbidden.
Please note that should this rule come to pass we'll have to have some quality control.
I mean, you said if everything except the pose is changed, it's fine. Slapping blobs of colour on everything except the pose = same thing. That's what I meant. And who are you going to ask to sift through a bunch of recolours to see if they fit the standard? I don't think anyone would even want to do that.
The reason I said no, (not that it seems to matter), is because it encourages people to half-ass a character image. Not only am I strongly against it from an art protection point of view, but it's just plain lazy. Why bother drawing your character properly if you can just slap some blobs of colour on official artwork and claim it's your character? It brings the standard down. It's lazy, and unoriginal.
Is there gonna be a vote, or just plain "no"?
what happenedededed
Of course, we don't tolerate recolored/edited fan-art (of official characters or fan characters such as yours,) period. There's no two ways about that. But perhaps, just perhaps, there should be some leeway for official art? I mean, official artwork (i.e pictures seen in game manuals or sonic x screenshots,) is normally something everyone's going to recognize off the bat. Let's also remember that no one's making any kind of profit off of this stuff, and the official stuff is all licensed and copyrighted. They couldn't get away with claiming the whole thing as their own if they tried.
Fan-art is a different story, but let's not go there; we don't allow it anyway.
Those are my two cents on the matter. Feel free to keep up the debate; you're the only one who gave any sort of feedback on this.
I don't think it's right, no matter what. If you can't draw the pose, practice until you can. Tracing/editing someone else's work without permission is unforgiveable, even if it's official art and everyone knows who it belongs to. I wasn't talking about claiming it's theirs, just that I think it's plain wrong. If you can't draw your character, ask someone who can. I'm sure there's plenty of people out there who wouldn't mind helping out. It's just wrong to fuck up someone's art, man.
Please and thanks.
I would say she's average. The neon green shorts really make my eyes bleed, though. :c
I really don't think so lol, this was over 3 years ago.
It's a minor change, so no need to vote (in my opinion). Also, it makes people frequently use this wiki, so I don't see what the issue is...
I don't think any kind of recolour should be allowed. If you're going to change everything except for the pose, why not just draw the pose instead? There is no excuse for vandalising a work of art, in my opinion. I may just be salty on this matter since people have done that to my art, but I really don't think it's okay to accept this.
Yayyyy! That's good. :3
I'm the other brit, next to BlazingLeopard.
I'm pretty lame, and I made that Ziggy page thing that some people seem to like. I'm also a critic (a mean one), and.. well. I draw stuff. Boop :3
I actually really like this, being the achievement whore that I am. cx
