"Elaborate. Or if you'd rather not, that's okay, too Candle." Raven said in a normal tone.
Candlelight turned to Alison, "You wanna explain it to them?" She asked uneasily, as Alison nodded her head.
"When Candle was 12, she celebrated her grandpa's birthday by flying to a resort. They stayed in a nice room and had lots of fun there. But one night when they were all having dinner, they went to the balcony to eat. But when they went back inside...." she paused and sighed, then looking at Candle, who nodded as she continued, "her father fell to his death."
Raven and Nicole had raised both eyelids at Candle's story. But, they could relate. Nicole jumped up and hugged candle. "We are sorry Candle. We didnt know. I lost my parents when I was 9. They had been targeted by a mercenary. My sisters and I went to live with my uncle and my cousin as a result.
Raven also puts a hand on candles and Alison's shoulders. I completely understand ladies. My apologies and condolences to you both. I had lost my parents to a shifter, and their deaths were casualties of a war, just like Nicole's. "
"So, it seems in a weird way, we all lost someone near and dear to us." Raven said in a melancholic tone.
The two nodded, Alison then changed the subject to bring the mood up a bit, "Anyways, we're not that far from your house are we Candlelight?" She asked.
Candlelight looked around the street, "About five more minutes, maybe less" she told them.
Candlelight nodded, "It's on that street up ahead," she told them as they turned on the block.
Raven and Nicole looked in the corresponding direction. and we're quite surprised upon reaching the house. "Oh wow. This is a really nice place. The sunset itself really highlights the place". Nicole said in awe. Raven just stood wide eyed. Not saying a world at all. A few sweat drops appeared as he was processing it.
Nicole noticed this, and tried moving her hand in his face to snap him out of it. When this failed, she tapped his head, getting him back into focus. "Ehh? What the hell?" Raven said in a shocked tone. "Calm down, Raven. It's nothing big. You just saw her house and froze on us." "I did? Whoops." Raven replies with an embarrassed expression on his face. His skin turned red, almost like his fur. "Ehheheh. Sorry. I uh, never expected to see a house like this...it..truly is something.."
The house itself wasn't too shabby. It was a nice humble two-story beige villa on a slant with two outdoor balconies on the second floor, one in the front, and the other in the back. Inside the house was the living room, with couches and a flat-screen television. The room connected to the kitchen, with a table to eat, a microwave, oven a stove and a sink. Upstairs were the bedrooms, with a nice looking bathroom and downstairs was the basement, with a deserted bar and pool table. The group walked inside, and Candlelight sat down on the couch,
"It's not the best, but I really like it here!" Candlelight told the two as Alison plopped down right next to her.
